My boss is away all week and the office is closed Thursday and Friday for thanksgiving. The upside to working for an American company in Canada (aside from the maternity leave thing lol). Looking forward to a relaxing week!
I've switched to using Inbox instead of Gmail on my phone and home computer, but work will only open Gmail. This results in all the messages in Inbox's "purchases" folder, which are grouped and don't send me alerts, being individual new messages in the main inbox in Gmail.... and 14 messages from Amazon, Gap, LLBean, and ebates make it painfully obvious that I was on a shopping binge yesterday. Whoops.
I'm trying desperately not to look like a crazy slug in sweat pants and a ball cap every day. So today I got up, worked out, and got ready. I got a hair cut Friday and hate it.
My boss has gone bananas. I usually get 10 emails a day. He sent me 45 last night.
This morning sucks. DS was up 3 times, so I'm exhausted. And my chest hurts, I'm pretty sure it's muscular soreness from doing a lot of burpees on Saturday, but it started really hurting last night. Also my parents just left and it'll be a while before we see them again.

I'm so excited! We skipped the dream feed last night and my 6 month old actually slept 12 hours!!! I'm assuming this must be a fluke but very excited. I woke up super, painfully full boobs but fed her and didn't have any plugs (yet). That's why I've been afraid to drop the dream feed even though the pedi wants us to stop. Maybe it will actually be okay?

Omg E wouldn't go to sleep last night and eventually ended up cosleeping. I really have no idea how much she nursed all night, but this morning I set her in the RNP so I could make the bed. I heard gagging and looked over as she spewed all over. Like, volumes I don't think I ever saw out of Lane. She is not a spitter either. I really hope it's just spit up and not a stomach bug. The rest of us still feel fine...
MIL is coming this morning for her baby fix (ugh) and so I don't have to be here for that I'm going grocery shopping alone!
Dh's phone rang at 4:30 to alert him he had to give a urine sample at 6:30. Then Ds was up before 6??? He had thrown the iPad and grabbed my glasses and tried to throw them too all before 7.
My kids have no school all week. Today I think I will take DS2 (he turns 3 on Saturday) to his first movie. He is obsessed with Minions, and I found a movie theater near me that is still playing it. This could be fun, or disastrous.
I set some goals today and plan to make slow cooker teriyaki chicken, buy gift boxes, and print the address labels for our Christmas cards. I would also like to take S on a long walk if it stays clear out.
N was up all night coughing, so I'm keeping him home today. His fever is gone, and he seems okay, but I have a feeling he wouldn't have a good day at school.
Why why why does my dog, who spent the night sleeping on the basement futon WITH my H, insist on letting H sleep and coming to wake me up when he needs to go outside at 3am!? Pass all the caffeine please.
C was a little cranky pants this morning and didn't want anything to do with getting dressed and ready to leave for daycare. SS saved the day by letting C play with one of his stuffed animals and C was in love. I guess we can keep the older one around.
I am dreading work today but I'm dreading Thanksgiving with my in laws even more. My SIL will be shitty to MH, my BIL will make snide comments about my kids' behavior, and MIL and FIL will fall over themselves trying to make peace instead of telling SIL and BIL to shape up and be nice. Ugh.
3 day work week!!! I am doing a happy dance!! We had a great time at the zoo yesterday even though it was pretty cold. The day ds was born it was 106 (Dallas) adjusting to 20 degree temperatures (western New York) hasn't seemed to be a problem so far. But its only November ?
DH took a new job! He's going back to his old company but in a different role. 15 minute commute instead of 1.5 hours each way. It's 4 10-hour shifts. Only con is its third shift, but that should actually give him more time at home with DS, the babies, and me than he would get staying at his old job. I'm just nervous about putting 3 kids to bed by myself 4 nights a week! Any tips?

Dd had a nasty diaper this morning but I made the executive decision that it was the three mandarins she ate yesterday and sent her to daycare. Hope it was the right call...
I tried on a pair of real pants last night expecting not to be able to button them, BUT through the magic that is stretch, I did it! Fortunately it's bulky sweater weather, so it's pretty easy to hide the severe muffin top they give me.
There is another daycare 2 houses down from the one DD goes to. As we were walking into our daycare a mom carrying an infant seat was walking in the other daycare. DD saw it and asked, "What's that?" I said, "That's a mommy and her baby." Without missing a beat DD goes, "That baby was in your tummy mommy?" I told her "No, that baby was in it's mommy's tummy." She said, "Your baby come out and we can PLAY!!"
She is so excited for this baby and to play with him. I keep repeating the line in her favorite new baby book that babies can't play, all they can do is "sleep, eat, pee, poop and cry." If you ask her what babies do she'll give that exact answer and it's adorable. (heart) She's going to be such a good big sister and I am SO glad we spaced them 3 years apart instead of 2!!
Thanksgiving week snuck up on us. We really need to get our shit together, and order our Thanksgiving meal from the market. It's cutting it close. Procrastinators of the world unite tomorrow!
