What's on your mind as thanksgiving approaches? Normal week? Kids off school?
The girls and I are home all week, dh is working a few days. Today we went to storytime at the library, so glad they still had it! It's cold, but we also stopped at the park. I am hummed because I checked the weather and now they are saying snow on thanksgiving and I really don't want to drive 2 hours to my cousins house if it's snowing. Ugh.
The oldest has a half day today and is off the rest, middle has normal days today and Wednesday. Dh is working today but will probably be home early & off the rest.
Tomorrow I have a dental procedure & the middle had ballet. Then we have s big thanksgiving community dinner at church & dh will be over there cooking all afternoon. There's a service afterwards.
Wednesday, dd2 has a little thanksgiving service & then we have dd1's conference. That afternoon is baking pies & thanksgiving prep.
We go up my inlaws Thursday and my parents Friday. Saturday we'll get our tree and dd1 is dancing outside at the town's winterfest event.
I work today and tomorrow and ds is at daycare, and then ds and I have Wednesday off just the 2 of us since h works Wednesday as well.
We will do an early breakfast with h Wednesday morning before he heads to work, the cleaning lady is coming and ds and I will run errands. Wednesday night, my bff and her bf will come over for dinner and a movie.
Thursday we are hosting t day at our house at 3 pm so cook and chill all morning.
Friday we are off and no plans so pjs day and possible attempt potty training (hold me!). Depending how that goes we will either be home all weekend or not.
This week used to be conference week, so a full week off of school. They moved conferences to October, so now it's full days of school until Thursday. I'm kind of bummed to not have the week off.
DS has been driving around the dollhouse people in their car for the better part of an hour, so I am drinking tea, making Christmas lists, and catching up on email. Oh, and he fully weaned this weekend and is two for two on peeing in the potty today, so I'm a little bit trying not to cry that my baby is gone.
It's a regular week for us. I just made some gingerbread dough; I figure DS and I will make some cutouts this afternoon to decorate to put on the Christmas tree.

I feel like I have an insane amount of stuff that needs to get done this week and none of it is even Thanksgiving related. Today I have to make a big dent in cleaning/clearing the house, do a Sam's run, and meet friends for a park play date. Tomorrow is my only day this week with all three kids in school, and I have a friend who invited herself over to visit and have lunch, then a doctor's appointment at 3:15, DS's dance class at the Y, and a meeting in the evening. Wednesday is the preschool feast thing that they want a bunch of parent volunteers for, and then I'll have to take them all home with me afterwards and try to get more house cleaning done. I'm still on the hunt for a reasonably priced photographer who can do a session with me and the kids in time for us to send out Christmas cards because my #1 choice is not emailing me back, and my in-laws come in for a week-long visit the Wednesday after Thanksgiving.

DH was supposed to be off this whole week, but ended up having to fly to a meeting today. He was supposed to come home tonight but he just called to tell me that he is slammed and probably won't make his flight. He now has an early morning flight tomorrow. We have an afternoon flight to go to the IL's tomorrow so hopefully there are no delays! DD and I went to story time at the library this morning and will go to My Gym later this afternoon so the day should go by quickly
No school this week so DS is at an indoor inflatable gym place this morning. We will probably have lunch out then I'll let him watch a movie. DH should be home early. Beef stew for dinner.
Tomorrow - dentist appointment and swimming for ds1. DH has dinner with a longtime friend so I'm actually looking forward to some time all to myself once the kids are down.
Wed - DH will be off work and for the rest of the holiday weekend. ds2 has a swim lesson and then we will drive down to our family beach house for the weekend. Thanksgiving dinner, lots of beach time, trips to the aquarium and woodsy walks if it's raining. My parents have a super fancy espresso machine so I'm dreaming of being bundled up in sweaters, drinking hot coffee and staring out at the Pacific. Hopefully someone can hold the baby for ten minutes so I can do that

gastro beef stew sounds so good! We are having roast chicken, squash, stewed cranberries and kale salad. Then I'm going to a YA author event tonight as soon as dh gets home! Yay for a night out. I seriously kind of want to skip it and just go read a book somewhere.
@chatterbox That sucks your dh had to fly out today! DH is suppose to be off tomorrow, half day Wednesday then Thursday and Friday. I'm not too hopeful that it'll all happen, but I'm looking forward to some extra help around the house this week. We have a few things to do as a family too so it should be fun.
I'm at work today and tomorrow, but we are taking our District Summative, so it's 2 days of quiet work for me.
We get our new dryer delivered Wednesday morning, we've been without for 3 weeks.
Wed after the dryer arrives we are leaving for up north to celebrate TG/Christmas with the ILs. 3 days in a hotel, a diner for TG dinner, and Christmas in a hotel room. Back on FRiday night.
Taking the kids to "The Good Dinosaur" on Saturday morning. Sunday may hit IKEA with a co-worker.
Kids are out all week. DH has regular work through Wed. Regular taekwondo today, combined classes tomorrow, then no more until next Monday. It's a great activity, but I'm ready for a break from carting kids and gear back and forth.
Today is beautiful, so we're getting the sun in while we can. It's supposed to go downhill all week.
I'm cheating this year and ordered our meal from a store. I'll just have to heat it up on Thursday. It's just us, so it should be a quiet holiday.
We have school today and tomorrow so those are normal days. Wednesday I have an appointment in the morning. The kids are going to a friend's house. Then I will be driving an hour to my grandma's house to stay until Friday. H has the kids Wednesday night and Thursday morning/early afternoon. His sister lives near my grandma so he will bring the kids to me at 2. I am dreading it as it will be our first split holiday. I will have the kids that evening and they will spend the night with me at my grandma's house. We don't have any specific plans on Friday. Saturday we have Thanksgiving with my parents and siblings and my mom's parents. My sister and I are cooking at my parents house. They are OOT until Saturday afternoon so we will eat that evening when they are home.
No school for us this week. First time in at least 12 years. We're going to just hang out and do whatever. Thanksgiving dinner Thursday then I will put the tree up on Friday.
