So the nurse at my Dds school goes between two schools but is always there at 1 because dd needs to be given seizure meds at that time. Nurse calls me at 1230, her car broke down and she wasn't going to make it, is it ok to give her meds at 130 when I pick her up or did I want to come in at 1 to give. I said I would come in a few minutes early; 20 minutes or so wouldn't make a big deal. She goes "oh, ok. I just wanted to call you because she's on real meds, not something for allergies or ADHD".
Extremely poor choice of words, but I'd give the benefit of the doubt and assume it was the time sensitive part she was trying to get at. But yea, you'd think she'd off all people would know that was inappropriate.
Well, it wouldn't bother me personally. Seizure meds are more critical than allergy meds or adhd meds. Was it the best choice of words? No. But assuming her car really did break down, she's was probably fairly stressed, and it's kind of nice to think her thoughts went to your daughter, probably calling the school to get your number and then calling you to see how you'd like to proceed.
