I was out of the room and heard him cry. I assumed he fell or hit his head or something. Hugs, kisses, he was fine. But then I noticed my computer was unplugged, and I think he must have been messing with it. I checked his hand, which he had sort of been cradling, and he has a blister on his finger, where I imagine it touched the outlet. This is a new one for me...what do I do? Anything?
This is a huge fear of mine. I don't have advice, just, omg I'm glad he seems ok!
Seriously! He's creeping up on 3. I thought we were clear of the sticking appendages in outlets phase. We've become lax with the outlet covers because nobody has ever messed with them. This kid. Oy.

I remember doing that as a kid. My grandfather was warning me to be careful to not touch the metal prongs while unplugging something and I thought he didn't know what he was talking about. So I intentionally touched them while it was half in the outlet. I don't remember how old I was but definitely old enough to know better. Never did it again, though.
"Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you've got a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies-"God damn it, you've got to be kind.”
Totally normal, thanks for checking. He has a little blister/burn where he touched the outlet. It seemed to be bothering him yesterday, but today it's fine. I talked to the doctor last night, and he said if he's acting fine, he is fine. I also recovered all of our outlets. Guess we're not done with that phase of baby proofing.
Don't bet on him having learned. My brother did it twice as a child. He wanted to see if another object reacted the same way. The man is lucky to be alive. I'm glad your son is ok.
