Less than a week in and we're already discovering the joys of homeownership. Last night we discovered that one of the pipes under the kitchen sink is leaking.
H says it should be no big deal to fix, and we're planning to replace the sink in the next couple of months anyway, but WE'VE BEEN LIVING HERE FOR LESS THAN A WEEK! lol.

Oh no! One thing that sucks about home ownership is not being able to call the landlord to fix stuff, haha. Hope it's an easy fix, even if it's only temporary!
estrellita - Exactly! We get our first experience with, "Oh, wait, we don't have a landlord to pay to fix this." Luckily, it's only one side of the double sink, so the sink is still completely usable while we fix it. But still! Hahaha.
That sucks! Our first house (the townhouse) we had our closing walkthrough after closing because the idiot seller locked all the keys in the house including the lockbox key. We then discovered the oven needed to be replaced completely and the air conditioning unit was broken as well.

That's the worst. Is it something that may be covered under your home warranty? Everything we found in the beginning either wasn't covered or wasn't worth the copay to have it looked at. It's so annoying.
Remember how I worked on gutting/redoing a house for 18 months, moved in, then in 3 days the septic line collapsed starting backing water into my tub and we couldn't run any water?
Welcome to being a home owner.
Thankfully that shouldn't be too big of a problem. Hoping you don't run into anything else!
