It was my turn to sleep in, the rain drowned out the kids a bit so I actually SLEPT until 7:45, wheeee!
DH and I both busted out asses decorating for Christmas yesterday and the house looks AWESOME. He did the outside, which involved drilling many hooks into the roof overhang to hold the lights, not a small feat. DS and I did the inside (tree, stockings, garlands on curtain rods, centerpieces). When DS went to bed last night he said "see you tomorrow Christmas!" Like Christmas was a person (heart)
I just tricked my kid into watching Toy Story 1 instead of Toy Story 3 AGAIN. We only own number 3 for some reason, but I recorded 1 and 2 from ABC Family the other day. I put 3 in the player but went to the DVR menu instead of actually turning the DVD on.
We're snuggling on the couch, eating chocolate iced donuts and watching, waiting for SS to wake up. Sunday morning win!
I think I may have gotten pinkeye from DS. But I'm not sure, I've never had pinkeye before. My eyes were a little goopy this morning and they feel a little odd but aren't red. Should I go to urgent care in an hour when they open or should I wait and see?
oswin - I'd go to urgent care so you can start the antibiotic eye drops ASAP.
Last night we went to an electric light Christmas parade with some friends. DS adores their son and he loved the parade. The only issue was that one car in the parade was revving the engine very loudly and the noise made him cry. He was so cute talking about it later - "I no like that car. It hurt my ears. I was crying."
Today we are meeting up with some friends at Starbucks but hoping we'll go somewhere for brunch.
I've been up since 5:30 bc DS wanted to nurse, but I'm trying to cut out the morning session. He happily drank milk from a cup but then was still mad I wouldn't nurse him and refused to go back to sleep. DH is still sleeping and I want to just go throw the crazy kid in bed with him so I can shower and go run errands.
I woke up snotty, coughing and needing to pee at 6:40am. The odds of falling back asleep are slim. We're spending today organizing the house so that when the movers pack it tomorrow things get packed in a way that makes sense.
I'm already planning a nap today. I start me new job a week from tomorrow. What am I going to do without the ability to nap during the day?!

I'd go. I went last week before my eyes were red, and they gave me a prescription since they knew I had been exposed and just said not to use the drops unless it got really red and goopy. Sure enough, the next day it was bad.

I bought too much for Christmas for DD. At this point, I've gotten her a kidkraft kitchen, play food, little people farm, and a Land of Nod chair. Assuming I can fix my sewing machine before Christmas, I'll also be giving her a doll bed with blankets I want to make. So it's a lot of big things. Her birthday is in February, so I can just hold out a month and a half and give her some of the stuff then, right? Except I kind of want to give it all to her immediately.
Can I give her everything for Christmas, and then nothing for her birthday? I mean, she'll only be 2, it's not like she'll know the difference. (Who am I kidding, if I go with that plan, I'll probably wind up buying more for her birthday, too)
Heading home from the beach. Man I would just live here all the time. Sure there's no target, but I could survive.
A local store had a sign it was for sale as the owner was retiring. It's tempting. Of course DH and I are building a house and the foundation is done, lol. I think I'm just burnt out with work and day dreaming.
I'm heading out on travel for 2 nights this week and I told my boss I was never so happy to get out of the office! Plus I'm not running the workshop so I just get to show up.
I went for an early run with a friend, picked up breakfast on the way back, took a shower, and am now laying in bed because my kid is still happily playing with his stuffed animal posse. I should go get him up, but he's happy and my bed is warm so...
We have Christmas Minis later this morning. I just finished my hair and make up. I even contoured...although not much because I didn't want it to be obvious!

I felt like I had too much too so I took 8 books out of their gifts and she is going to get them for her birthday. As it is they are still getting around 10 books at Christmas.
My h took both kids to the grocery store by himself for quite possibly the first time ever. I can go to the bathroom, shower, and start unpacking uninterrupted.
Unpacking, laundry, putting up the Christmas tree, and possibly running out to the mall to return some things today.
@idaholakelady - did you guys hear back from the moving company?
I want to go get our Christmas tree today. I'm shocked that there are no u-cut tree farms in our area. I don't want to go stomping through the mountains to find one, and I like fuller trees. FWP.
My three best friends all had a big family dinner last night at one of their parents house. ( we're all really close with each other's families). I facetimed with them but it was the first time I was really sad about missing out on something since we've moved. I miss having best friends around.

I am here too. I can't stop!! I'm going to save the kitchen for his birthday in February and a couple of things for his Easter basket..
The Elisabet dress I ordered for myself came yesterday- I love it! I wish it was a smidge shorter, but I'll wear it a few times and the see about having my mom hem it.
We finished up our salt dough ornaments today. They are not cute, but the girls had a lot of fun. I will probably just use them instead of bows on the grandparents' presents.

Isaac had a two week cold that ended with a double ear infection. My H got an eye infection, which the dr said was probably I's infection, just manifesting in my H's eyes. My H now has a cold. And I have pink eye. We are on week 3 of people having infections and grossness. I just need everybody to be healthy for like, an hour. I'm so fucking sick of sanitizing everything I own a million times a day.
I got a Nutribullet for Christmas! (We do xmas on Thanksgiving w my family.) I freaking LOVE it.
farmvillelover - I liked because I am dying to go to work tomorrow too. Seriously.
DS is two months old today (crazy!) and I just keep thinking how our family feels so complete with him here. I was nursing him this morning and he kept popping off to smile and coo at me - what a sweetheart.
We also have a relaxing day on tap with just a Costco/grocery run since it looks like there's a snowstorm headed our way tomorrow.

That sucks. I'm hoping we don't all have pinkeye, DH was thinking his eyes felt funny but they're not goopy yet. We've all had colds too.

I guess we are going to the late service at church today since my husband is still asleep. We then have play practice this afternoon. Not sure what we will doing the middle.
Our friends came over yesterday and hung out all day, which was nice. We used to live together, so I never feel like I need to entertain them. They also have kids that are the same ages as ours.
I'm pretty excited to make football food for the Broncos/Pats game tonight. Go Broncos! JalapeƱo poppers with leftover smoked turkey/bacon and brisket nachos!
We are headed to Disney today!! Lunch at Wilderness Lodge, followed by going to see Christmas decorations at a few hotels, and maybe Downtown Disney tonight. Tomorrow is Magic Kingdom!
Would it be terrible if I changed him into PJs at the park and let him fall asleep in the Lillebaby at his usual bedtime (7) and then we stayed at the park until 10? I want to see fireworks!
