UPS just delivered our new TV. H is really excited! The old one was tiny in comparison. I have no idea how he's going to get rid of the old one, though. It's probably about 200 pounds. He says he'll take care of it, which is fine with me, but I am very curious how he plans to do it.
I am still sick. Wtf? I'm rarely sick this long. It's been like four days and I'm barely able to sleep since I can't breathe well. I was wandering the house at 2am last night.
I feel bad but I had to cancel watching my SIL's kids because she can't be exposed to any germs, but that put her in a tough childcare situation.
@moonbeam is the TV replacing an old one or a whole new addition to your home?
HoneySpider thanks for doing that! Hope all is well.

200 lbs? How old is that tv?
We've been having some trouble with our tv with the volume randomly going out, I would like a new one but it's not in the budget and the picture still looks great. Ours is 7.5? years old and it's amazing how much the prices have come down since then!
amaranth I hope you are feeling much better soon! The TV is replacing an old one.
HoneySpider The old TV is a hand-me-down from H's grandma. I'm guessing it's from 2003-2005, with a 36" screen. It is a giant tube behemoth. The new one is 49" LED and a sleek 35 pounds.

Could you buy like $20 external speakers to improve the sound? Our TV was $2500 (it was given to us!!) And still the sound is awful. We bought speakers and don't even bother with TV sound now.

I heard back from Suzv....she hit a rough patch last week and needed a break from the internet and deleted a few of her accounts. She'll be back when she's feeling better. I let her know we will all be happy to see her back when she's ready!

The sound is cutting out all together...it's as if someone pushed the mute button. We thought there might be a lose connection somewhere in the wiring but we checked everything and couldn't find any issues. I'm guessing that even with external speakers it would still go out? It must be some internal thing on the tv
HoneySpider- thank you for the update on suzv. I was wondering what happened. Sorry to hear she's having a rough time but hoping she'll be in a better place and back here soon. Also, we have similar issues with out tv in that we have been increasingly having to up the volume (and no we're not going hard of hearing). We used to be able to watch on a 10 and now sometimes have to watch movies close to 40. I'm sure our tv will have to be replaced one of these days (DH had it before we started dating so it's at least 7 yrs old, probably closer to 8-9).
amaranth- ((hugs)) Hope you feel better soon! As hard as having to find last minute childcare is I'm sure your SIL is appreciative to not be exposed to the germs and risk her health...not to mention that you have been a rockstar for them.
tacocat- Hope the weather clears up soon! I'm with you on "can't believe it's already Dec"! This year has flown by way to fast!
Our water line to our kitchen sink broke 1.5 wks ago. The new line came last night and I'm beyond happy to have our kitchen sink back! I love camping but am definitely not a fan of having to cleanup the dishes and was not thrilled about having to do the same in our house (the line couldn't be bought at Home Depot since it's a specialty part...thankfully we got a free replacement from the manufacturer...apparently our sink is $500, yikes!).
I have been looking for my Kindle for a week now. Found it this morning. Apparently when I was on a rampage getting the house ready to list I decided it was a good idea to put it in a bag with other random contents in from our kitchen (old needles from when I was pg with C (that need to be disposed of properly), breastmilk bags, etc). Good thing I had a feeling it had to be in the downstairs closet and was persistent; otherwise, it would have been lost til we moved! I still want a new Kindle though (I have had mine for almost 7 years now)...
Talked to my old therapist this morning! Had such a great conversation with her...wish we lived closer so I could still see her when needed. Anyways, called about recent stuff with my mom (which she had no idea was going on in the first place and new stuff that I haven't posted here). I always appreciate her insight and advice. Now just need to sit on things for a couple days to figure out how to address some things. Oh, and she asked if I was still running. I told her no and that I have thought of her a lot these past months with regards to that (she told me to keeping running after our losses so she wouldn't have to put me on antidepressants/anxiety meds). We had a good talk about how that needs to be a priority and would be helpful with PPD/PPA (although that is so much better these days!).
It was supposed to rain today, but it doesn't look like it will. I really want to walk to the library, but I feel super guilty walking anywhere without taking Pippin, and he can't go into the library, obviously.
I got up early and went to a gym class with my sister this morning. It was hard but fun. I've been on the couch since, maybe I should start cleaning like I had planned today.
So one of my good friend's mom has recently had what I think is a face lift or brow lift, or something. She looks killer fabulous... and she didn't a few months ago. The difference is really obvious and it's so awkward because suddenly these great new Facebook photos started appearing with no comments about any procedures (because obviously that would be hella awkward. lol). Anyway, no point to this post except I can't say anything in real life and I felt to need to saying SOMETHING because, whoah. When I'm 55 I want what she got.

travelbug I forgot to tell you, I made your pumpkin oatmeal cookies that you had shared the recipe for a few weeks back. Only I was being lazy so instead of making cookies, I baked it all in one pan and it came out like a bread! I was surprised, I have done this with other cookies and it's usually thicker, more like a brownie or bars. It is yummy though! I still have more fresh pumpkin, I'm going to freeze some of it but maybe I'll make another batch of actual cookies first
I went for a run! First one in 3.5 months...ended up running 3.7 miles and it felt great (I'm sure I will be sore tomorrow). Ran about a 10 min mile pace (which is slow for me) while pushing the stroller. I definitely need to do this more often...and C loved it- he talked to me the whole time!
C's napping and I just showered and took a quick nap. Need to do laundry when he wakes up, go for a walk, and make some pumpkin bread!
Thanks for checking on suzv, HoneySpider! Totally understandable from my perspective because I did the same thing at one point.
amaranth My mom is having that magical procedure done next week. I don't know all of what it entails, but it's kind of like a face/neck lift. My aunt is having it done, too. Must be all the rage with the AARP crowd, lol.
luv2rn4fun Nice job on the run! I'm finally getting back at it, too. Hoping to run a half in April, but haven't been training yet.
I got stuck in traffic this morning. Interstate was shut down because a tractor trailer full of Budweiser product overturned. Kegs and Bud Light bottles all over the road, haha!
ewall- That's awesome that you want to do a half in April! I was thinking about doing a half in May but I know my mind isn't really in that mode right now and I likely would end up not doing it. I do want to get back into some consistency though and making running a priority again...it will be good for me, even if I have to take C along with me. Good luck on your training! Will your DH also be doing the race/training for something similar so you guys can train together?
I took the day off today, and I got all of my indoor decorating done, but still have to do the outside. We just live in an apartment though, so it's not that much to do, just a wreath on the front door and hopefully some balcony lights.
I have aver kickboxing tonight, and it's been a full week since I've been there. It will probably be rough, but I really need the workout.
Ive been feeling pretty down lately about IF stuff. Looking at Facebook on thanksgiving was a huge mistake. I had a really nice day, and was in a great mood, but then ruined it. 3 people announced pregnancies, plus what seemed like a million more posted about how thankful they were about pregnancies I already knew about. Plus about a hundred baby's first thanksgiving pictures and posts. I know it's just the age/season of life that I am in where I have to expect this, but it's really hard. I am feeling like this might never happen for us. I've been trying to go all out for Christmas this year to try to stay positive and not put my life on hold waiting until we have kids to do things. Decorating and planning a party and stuff like that is somewhat helping to distract me, but it still sucks. Sorry to be a downer, but I really don't talk about this IRL and have to get it out once in awhile.
luv2rn4fun I am glad you called your therapist. Sounds like that run did you a lot of good. I hope you get back to it. And yay for C enjoying it so much!
