My right breast always feels full and never seems to drain completely, even after a lengthy nursing session. It also seems like it's producing more milk, as evidenced by pumping results (I can often pump 6 oz. just from the right side alone). This sounds like a great problem to have, but is starting to become really uncomfortable and annoying.
What can I do to correct this without screwing up my supply on the other side? I'm currently block feeding (L,L,R) and have stopped pumping on the right side for now (I SAH, so I only pump once a day a few times a week).
countthestars, are you still also dealing with this?
Honestly, just give it time and it usually works itself out. I wouldn't do any special block feeding. I would limit pumping on that side as much as you can.
I had forceful letdown and oversupply on both sides, but even after it regulated lefty was the big producer. I consistently pumped double on that side. Aka, I don't have any advice, but I think it's normal to have one side that produces more.

Hmm. Mine seems to have regulated some but I stopped pumping both sides completely before it regulated itself. Now I'm battling both forceful letdown and a potential dip in supply? What a mess lol.
KOKO with what you're doing and it will regulate. It just takes time. Definitely avoid pumping on that side, or if you do to replace a feeding, only pump what you bottle fed (typically ~4 oz, not 6).
I had a similar on my right side and it recently got a lot better (DS is 12 months) when I stopped pumping during the day. I don't SAH, so a little different, but it seemed to stop I wasn't stimulating it to produce as much. DS is slowly taking less interest in nursing too, so even when I'm home on the weekend we only nurse a few times a day. I agree that I think it will slow down and it just takes time. My right side still produces more, but it doesn't get engorged or painful now like it used to.
ladygrey I had a bad oversupply with DS and have worked very hard not to encourage that with DD. Like @tokenhoser said, I wouldn't do anything. It will regulate itself eventually. If you're a SAHM, may j ask why you're pumping? The best way to damper an oversupply is to decrease demand, so I would cut down pumping altogether

My mom takes the kids two afternoons a week, so I need to be able to leave a bottle with her (also for DH if I need to run errands on the weekends). I only keep 10-12 oz in the freezer, so I'm not trying to build up a huge stash or anything.

Oh man, you just can't win! I hope it straightens out for you soon.
I definitely have an oversupply on my right side. I've tried encouraging more production on the left by block feeding on that side, but it's done nothing for me. If I don't feed DS overnight, the difference in size between my breasts is insane. In the morning, I can pump around 8oz just on the right if I haven't fed him on that side recently.
Anyway, no advice. I've just sort of embraced it and appreciate the fact that I get a lot on that side. My left side produces practically nothing from pumping. It's very frustrating.
