Yes, it's one of my favorite movies ever. One of the few I've seen several times and still enjoy.
My old boss hadn't seen it and was so confused when we were referencing it at work. I loaned him my copy and he loved it. I don't know how anyone that works in an office couldn't!

I pretty much have it memorized, too. When I can't sleep, I try to remember it scene by scene. I usually fall asleep before Peter shocks his hand on the doorknob.
It makes me sad that there are people who have no seen it. If you are of this generation (spanning X, Ys and even millenials) it is just so relatable. I still remember the first time I saw it. The guy I was "dating" at work was incredulous I hadn't seen it (to be fair, it was the year 2000) so we watched it together. I cried from laughing so hard.
I'm having the hardest time picturing you in a meeting! I need more WorkTamb stories. This is in no way an insult or knock on your professional skillz, btw. You just don't talk about work, other than the fact that you're there. All I can visualize is a PowerPoint of your cute family pictures, complete with handouts.

I think Mike Judge just has a way of nailing reality in the work place. Silicon Valley is so spot on in its representation of the software industry that at times it's uncomfortable in it's hilarity (and level of fremdschamen).

Oh God, I didn't realize he did SV too. I mean, I knew, but I didn't put two and two together. We LOVE that show too. Now t makes sense.

In college I was friends with and worked with two guys who were roommates. We watched it every time we hung out over there, which was basically every day after work. I was drunk 90% of the time and I graduated 14 years ago, yikes, and I could probably still recite most of it.
*i have totally worked on printers that legit have that error... In the last 5 year
Pretty much me ever time I have to touch our plotter at work.
I even work for a company whose name sounds the same. And sadly, I report to three bosses I have to hear from every time there's and issue. I realized just how over my job I am a few weeks ago while watching Office Space again! Maybe I'll just stop going.
I tried to reference it in a meeting the other day, and all my coworkers were just giving me blank stares. I awkwardly began to explain. Finally there were a couple of weak "oh yeah, I think I've seen that" comments, and someone said "wait, is that the movie where the guy really likes his stapler?"
ffs I work for the State! I feel like it should be required viewing. I mean, I know they work in IT but there are more than enough parallels.
Unless you work with twenty year olds only, this is inexcusable.
Dh and I have watched this movie so many times. We quote it all the time too. And we own the red stapler.
I have only found 2 of my coworkers who know what I'm talking about. We're all in the 33-30 age range. No one else had any idea.
I got so annoyed with my old partner because she'd never seen it because we freaking had 3 bosses at one point and one day they all told us the same thing separately and I was like "I have the memo right here" and she had no idea.
