The Barenaked Ladies Christmas album (Barenaked for the Holidays) is really, really good. And it has the recording of God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen/We Three Kings with the Barenaked Ladies and Sarah McLachlan which is quite possibly one of the prettiest versions I've ever heard.
Charlie Brown Christmas Bing Crosby "Merry Christmas" Ray Charles Mariah Carey Christmas Ella Fitzgerald (the Elf soundtrack is pretty good) Elvis Christmas Mormon Tabernacle Choir ETA: Handel's Messiah
I really like the Barenaked Ladies one. Andrews Sisters is great for that "Christmas Traditions" sound, I love it. Appearances from Bing and Danny Kaye. Mariah Carey Amy Grant Harry Connick Jr (I believe he has two, both great) Michael Buble Charlie Brown Christmas/Vince Guaraldi Trio Barbra Streisand - love that woman
msniq still loves the Phil Spector Album. It used to annoy me but it's grown on me after nine Christmases.
I tend to listen to generic classical/church stuff. Mostly choirs rather than orchestral. An Exception for Heavy Heavy Lip's version of Mr. Grinch, which was played to death on the alternative station growing up. We loved it.
