I excel at choosing awful movies. My husband won't even watch anything I choose, and I'm nearly ready to not even let myself choose anymore. Maybe 1 in 10 is enjoyable. Please tell me this isn't just me.
I'm 20 minutes into The Longest Week. It's not getting better.
Last Friday I watched the new Annie and grimaced all the way through.
The week before I watched Hunger Games 3, and this may be flameful, but it was painful. I really couldn't get into it.
My H sometimes chooses the weirdest movies. Recently he found "Juan in a Million" on demand, and it was seriously such a waste of time. It's about this young guy who wakes up one day to find that everyone in his entire city has disappeared. So you watch him basically playing video games for the entire movie.
Last week we watched "Trance" with James McEvoy and Rosario Dawson. I had high hopes, but it was also just weak. It was a psychological thriller with a love triangle gone bad, a botched art heist, and hypnotism. Definitely not the best work of either of them.
Then we watched "Unfriended" just to mock and laugh at. Man that was a crappy movie - especially on a screen too small to read the copious amounts of teeny tiny text. The whole thing was skype conversations between six high school friends. It is as bad as it sounds lol.
Dh and I pick bad movies as a group effort. It's like a hobby we are both skilled at. Definitely not just you. We will even look at each other as to say, "do we keep watching to see if it gets better?" Sometimes, we just turn it off. LOL
MrsMB yeah, I've skipped quite a few middles of movies. Ha.
Oh, another awful one recently was Don John or Don Juan..something like that. It was about a guy addicted to porn and unable to sustain a human relationship. His gf was scarlett johanson who I like. It actually had potential and the end just bombed. I don't recommend it
amaranth I recall Don Jon, with Joseph Gordon-Levitt. That movie made me not like him because it seemed like he thought he was such hot shit in that lol. The only highlight was Tony Danza!

Yes that's the one. I didn't have a strong opinion on him either way, but that movie didn't help. He really did think he was hot shit. Plus he wrote and directed it, which you could tell he was sooooo proud of. Lol.

If I don't like a movie it's usually like only 10mins in, it drives my h crazy. We also tend to dislike movies that other praise and visa versa. I also hate going to the movies because I can't sit through an entire movie at the theater, esp if the movie is bad. I'm like, I paid out the ass for this movie, I can't leave, it's a waste of $.
