I use Goodread's now, but I don't really like it. It doesn't give me the info I'm interested in, like date read or pages. I've checked the settings but didn't see a way to customize this. Anything better out there?
I see those things on Goodreads too. Have you tried editing which columns you see on your shelves?
There was a new one called Riffle that looked interesting but I haven't tried it. Library Thing is fairly popular, but I'm not sure if it has an app. No idea what features either of those offer, so this is entirely unhelpful.
Okay sessy and charlatti, walk me through it? I have a book shelf for 2015 and it's sorted by 'date read'. But the list only has the title, my rating and the average rating. When I click on a title, I get reviews from other goodreaders. Settings only gives me the option of changing text size.
Maybe be I need to update my app? I'll try that while I wait for you.
When I'm in a shelf, across the top are a bunch of tabs, and the top right tab is More. Click that one for pages and other options. Date read only works if you set the date manually or if you have the book on currently reading and then move it to a read shelf. Am I answering the right question?

Yes!! <) That's exactly what I was looking for! Thanks so much! I usually don't add books to my list until I finish them, so it looks like date added will be fine, unless it's a re-read.
I think I'll add up the number of pages and figure out my weekly average and base my goal for 2016 on that. This is the first year I set a goal (last year was the first time I ever tracked) and one book a week just isn't realistic for me. Starting in October, I started choosing books based on page length (see my other post - lol) so I could hit my goal. That's not cool. If I devour an 800 page Stephen King, that should be worth at least four Anne of Green Gables.

if all your read books are in goodreads, you can see how many pages you've read in a given year. On your profile, under the "bookshelf" section, there is a little button that says Stats. If you click that, you have the option to view # of pages vs. # of books per year. (one thing to note, you just need to be careful of which edition you pick in Goodreads - for ex, if you pick large print, the # of pages is inflated)
