It was 1-2 glasses of wine a night up until a month ago. I really love the taste of white wine.
Gave up sugar (and by extension, booze) for a 3-week sugar detox and I replaced those nightly glasses with tea. The detox is done but now I have a glass of wine maybe two nights a week, and I measure out the glasses to track the WW points, so it's 5-6 oz a glass. I don't have the taste for it that I did, along with the other sugary stuff I gave up. I have lost a ton of weight this last month so I'm reluctant to go back to the nightly drinking because I'm sure that played a big role in my struggles.
I used to have one glass of red wine most nights, but now H can't drink red and he has beer I stead. I don't like beer so I alternate between having nothing and have a Mikes hard lemonade. I don't feel good if I drink more than a glass of wine and I don't want to buy/open a bottle for just one glass. I do miss drinking red wine.
I'll go through a period of a week or two where I drink a glass of wine or beer with dinner or after we put DS to bed. Then I'll go a month where I don't really drink anything. If I go out to eat I will order a glass of wine or beer. I'm not big on mixed drinks.
ETA: If it's a special occasion like a wedding or birthday party then all bets are off. I probably had 4 glasses of wine while hosting DS's first birthday party. I'm not concerned about the alcohol, my hesitation to drink more than an occasional glass stems from the calorie count. #old
I drink almost every day. Most nights I just have a beer or glass or two of wine after DD goes to bed, while I'm watching TV. One or two nights a week I have multiple drinks, usually on "date night" or going out with friends. Then I have...many drinks. And I've actually cut back a lot :?
Hmmm. I'm a lush, I guess. I drink pretty much every night. Some nights more than others, lol.
I do go through periods where it just doesn't taste right, so I don't drink then. And being pregnant on and off for a few years (2 second tri losses, then L), I barely drank at all.
I typically don't drink on weeknights and usually have 1-4 drinks on Fri/Sat. I go through phases though where I really get into something and have one every night.
I'll drink maybe 3 or 4 times a year. Just never really got into it. And I almost never get alcohol at restaurants. It's always at home or large special events like weddings.
Rarely. Sometimes a couple of times a month (1 drink), sometimes nothing for several months. I get dizzy before I even feel buzzed, takes some of the fun out of it. I don't like mixed drinks in general. I love a good port after dinner, and drink beer if I'm out with friends.

Maybe 4-5 drinks a week. It used to be more, but we've been trying to save money and it's been one of the simpler areas to cut back on (for better or for worse).
I rarely have more than one drink at a time...maybe two modest glasses of wine. I'm a lightweight and get super sick with any more than that.
Almost every night I have a glass of wine or a beer with dinner. I might do a whole 30 in January where I cut it out completely, but I always get super grumpy and that's the first thing I put back in my diet!
How often do you drink and how much? I am just curious and will answer below.
I've never had alcohol. Not religious, moral or health. Just grew up with a alcoholic family and was never interested in starting drinking. My DH has never drank either for similar reasons
DH & I both grew up with family members that abused alcohol. As a result we don't keep alcohol in the house & we very rarely drink. Just a few times a year when we're out with friends. As far as how much, 1-3 drinks each.
I'll sit at the lush table. I buy myself a 12-pack + a bottle of wine every week, and thats just my home consumption. And its not unusual to have to make an additional packie run. Today we'll start drinking at 1pm kick off and will likely continue until bed time

Rarely, like only on special occasions. I had multiple drinks (don't remember how many but I had a good buzz going on) at a wedding in August and haven't had anything since. I'll likely have a glass of wine at Christmas dinner and probably a few drinks on New Years. It mostly about the cost and calories for me. I just don't find it worth it.
Is our culture really so Madonna/whore toward alcohol use that someone will claim to never drink (oh, except when they want to get drunk)? Sorry, but that's silly. You drink if you get drunk.

Huh? I have never had that impression from anyone. But I live in CO & seems like almost everyone drinks in some capacity....what capacity isn't really a topic of discussion.

@this YES, not drinking is one of the top 5 worst things about being pregnant. Maybe too 3, behind the nausea and the weight gain. Fuuuuuuuuucccccckkkkkkkk I miss booze!
