I think you'll feel awful if you drink it right now. Also, you may find that it tastes terrible to you now (disclaimer: it's also possible it will taste amazing lol). But if you've gone that long without, I really do think you'll feel really shitty.
I'm no help. I've LARGELY cut out soda. I used to drink it daily and over the past few months, I hardly drink it at all. But there are times here and there where I CRAVE it. I honestly give in to it- have that one soda, satiate the craving, then I move on and don't crave it again for awhile.
I quit drinking soda for years. YEARS. Got to the point I didn't even crave it, right? Then one day, I was at the office (which has free soda) and I was out of Chai tea k-cups. I just needed caffeine and was all, "One soda won't hurt, right?" And I have had a soda every single day at work for the past year since. Don't be like me. BREAK THE CYCLE! YOU CAN DO IT!
Stay strong. I just realized the other day it's been 2 years since I quit drinking soda. Tea with honey is the answer here, especially if you feel like crap.

Is it the caffeine you're craving? The only way I was able to shake my diet coke habit was replacing it with iced tea. It's cool and refreshing going down and pleasantly invigorating. Would an iced tea help? I hope you feel better.
Tough one. McD's Diet Coke was my regular stop for a long time. I quit and now every time I get one I get a massive headache after. It tastes amazing going down, but I regret it about an hour later. Try to stay away!
I gave up soda a couple of years ago for lent because I was drinking waaaay too much of it. Anyway, I found that I could easily replace it with unsweetened iced tea or water and not really miss it. I do occasionally really crave soda though, so I'll give in and have it. But then I think those awful thoughts about how they use soda to remove terrible substances from things and I get icked out.
ANYWAY I was a smidge hungover this past weekend and the kids were begging for Wendy's for lunch so I caved and got myself a grilled chicken meal, and my mouth was watering for my fountain Coke with ice. WATERING. And I took a sip, and it was fucking disgusting. So I switched with my husband's thinking they must have given me diet by mistake. And his was also disgusting. And as I was bitching about how I couldn't believe they gave us diet instead of regular, he looked at me all quizically and said "wtf are you talking about? this isn't diet - its regular."
SO DON'T DO IT. It will taste nasty and disgusting and you will be so disappointed.
I don't know what the other answer is but here is mine. I had many health problems and a 20oz coke everyday. Back to back kidney stone surgery at 39 was terrible. So was being 100 pounds overweight. 11 Months later I am 70 pounds lighter and love it. I stopped in Jan and am a green tea junkie. I do cheat on Sundays, I allow maybe 8 oz of Sprite, but since I don't really drink it, I don't even cheat. I still have about 10 pounds to go before I go from obese to overweight. I know it sounds stupid, but damn to me, I love it. So, no soda.
Not helpful, but the ONLY time I drink soda is when I'm sick, either with a sore throat or nauseous. Something about the syrup helps me. And the cold. I love it over ice.
