I came home instead and made myself some hot tea and also drank like half a gallon of cold water.
Thanks, everyone. I was out dropping the girls at school and actually pulled over to write that post, lol.
I still think it would taste amazing, though. I'm going to try hard to believe those of you who say it would be awful.
It will. I mean, it would have. All of those people telling you it would taste awful are full of shit. I'm in your exact position...sick with a cold, congested, coughing. I've been soda free for less time than you, about three weeks. But anyway, yesterday I felt so awful and I wanted a fountain drink so so badly, I begged H to bring one home for me. It was so wonderfully amazing. Cold and fizzy and sweet. They're lying to you.
Not helpful, but the ONLY time I drink soda is when I'm sick, either with a sore throat or nauseous. Something about the syrup helps me. And the cold. I love it over ice.
My grandma always had a bottle of coke syrup in her medicine cabinet and would give us some when we had an upset stomach. It always helped. IDK if it was actual coke brand but it tasted like it.
I stopped drinking soda. I was just planning to cut back and ended up not drinking any for over a month. Then I wanted one, so I got one, and it was so disgusting! So, that was a good thing I guess. I use a lot of the flavor packets that you put in water. If you did drink a soda, no big deal, though. Everything in moderation.
I can go 2-3 weeks without a coke, and then I drink just one, and then I'm back up to 2 a day for a week or so. It's so delicious and amazing and I don't even give a fuck that it makes me look bloated and pregnant. Tastes so goooooood.
