I'm a total mouth breather today thanks to this cold....and I know that's gross. I'm so tired. I want to find someone to help me clean the house, but no one is willing to drive this far into the country for us I'd actually take my Mother up on her offer to come help clean, but I don't want my husband to completely want to leave me before the baby gets here
Also, I saw Santa yesterday at the Post Office Let me see if I can edit/add a pic through my phone....
@moonbeam What does she do to her desserts to make them bad enough to make you sick?
Arsenic? Lol honestly I don't know. Maybe just too much sugar? But H has a huge sweet tooth and feels fine after eating things like Hostess cupcakes. For some reason his mom's desserts give him heartburn, gas, nausea...I don't know why.
Weird. I always find it interesting how people can be really bad at cooking/baking...I mean, you have a recipe, you follow it, and you're done. I guess the problem is when people become creative and not in a good way!
I am almost done addressing Christmas cards and packages to mail. I dread going to the post office, but I will be SO happy to have that all done. I seriously wish I could hire someone to go to the post office for me. Any takers?
MrsMB Can you parents come while your H is at work? Not sure how long the drive is. I think them coming to help is a great idea, but obviously not if they chase your H away. lol. Maybe your H can have a guy's night out?
@moonbeam I am so sorry about that TV. I hope posting it on craigslist is successful. We've had some issues getting rid of junk as well. It's such a pain when trash pick up won't take something. We still have a fridge in our garage because of different, but equally frustrating husband issues... Given how much you both dislike your inlaws, I'd be all for sending that email about that getting rid of the tv as your gift. haha.
amaranth I called a junk removal service and they said they charge $125 for just the tv! Yikes. H doesn't want to do craiglist because we had some realllly scary and shady experiences where we got burned with craigslist in the past.
Maybe I should pay the company the $125 and have MIL reimburse me for that as my Christmas gift? lol
For craigslist you can literally just post in the free section that there is a tv on the curb between two houses. They don't even have to know which house is yours. No interaction needed, you leave it on the curb. It may not work if the tv's aren't in high demand, but who knows.

amaranth Do you know what type of postage you need for your packages? You can buy the postage online and then just drop the packages off at the post office, no waiting in line.
amaranth It's a three hour drive. It's doable.....just hard to pull off...plus he'd be not happy if he found out they came behind his back. They're coming after the baby is born, regardless. I'm trying to use grace with him before then as to not rock that boat....

I don't have a scale at home sensitive enough to weigh my boxes You're the USPS master, is there a way around that? They're already beautifully wrapped, so changing them isn't an option.

Hmm, probably not You need to know the weight if you mail anything other than priority mail flat rate, which won't work if your packages are already wrapped up because you have to use flat rate boxes.
I always use my food scale to weigh my packages, it works well for that.

I'm tempted to buy a food scale on Prime just for this purpose. lol.
((hugs)) MrsMB...hope you can find a solution to get some help to get your cleaning done. No way should you be doing that right now...cleaning when so close to your due date is hard work Maybe your DH can help you if you can't find someone else willing to come out? Wish I lived closer...I would totally come help! And then MY DH would be all irritated because I'm hardly motivated enough to clean our house (although it somehow manages to be pretty clean and presentable most days).
((hugs)) @moonbeam- hope you can get rid of the tv soon!
