1. My big, comfy bed - I was out like a light last night 2. Great family on both sides - we really are lucky 3. A good public transportation system 4. That we may have finally pulled the plug on Christmas gift giving with siblings - this has been years in the making on DH's side but one SIL finally made the call at Thanksgiving

amaranth I was talking to my MIL in Chicago yesterday and she was telling me how nice the weather was in the upper 40s....and she is someone who is always cold, so it was just funny to hear her say that!
It's been warm here too....the high on Sat is 70! So strange. It seems the past few years like winter is just getting pushed back and it doesn't really get bad until Jan-Mar.

I don't know much about earth science but I wonder if it's global warming, our perceptions changing, or just a few weird years in a row but not related to overall climate change. Last year was super nice until December as well, but growing up it almost always snowed on my birthday in October.
1. Thankful for 5.5 hours of sleep last night. DH was extra cuddly and didn't wake me up with his snores. Yessssss!
2. Thankful it is almost Friday! Tomorrow is a short/wonky day with a breakfast, doctor's appointment, and my department all leaving at 12. Hoping that means a quiet day!
3. Thankful for generous friends and family!
4. Thankful DH and I appear to be on the upswing from these stupid colds!!!
1) I'm thankful our car is still chugging along and keeping healthy. 2) Hubby, he's simply the best! 3) My wonderful bed. I am always SO happy to be in it haha! 4) My jobs, I'm so thankful they are able to provide for us and have amazing benefits 5) Thankful my Christmas shopping is almost done.

amaranth- Glad your DH is loving his new job! That's always a great thing!
HoneySpider- My brother and I haven't exchanged gifts in years (for birthday or Christmas)...it makes it easier- the less people to try and figure things out for the better (we all are very fortunate to have whatever we want/need and both him and I feel it's more about spending time together than buying gifts).
1. DH- he has so much on his plate right now and has been awesome despite all the stress! So lucky to have him as my co-pilot!
2. C- he's the absolute best and I can't imagine life without him or not spending my days with him!
3. My aunt- she has been such a sounding board for me with all my mom's stuff.
4. My dad/step mom- we're having C's party at their house. They are always here for us and willing to help in whatever way they can. We are so lucky to have their support...it's one of the reasons we are really considering a different city to move to.
5. God giving us the gift of time to really think and make the right decision...each day we are leaning more and more in a different direction than we were 3 months ago...trusting in His plan and guidance.
1. 60 degree weather in December! 2. My H, who has been very supportive lately since I've been feeling very down about TTTC stuff 3. My coworker friends, who have become such close friends in the last few years, I am closer to them now than most of my other friends.

DH! Not only is he a SAHD, but he's gymnastics/tennis/park/library/carpool/grocery store/laundry/cooking/cleaning/random errand dad. Little daily things that just add up to so much! I can't imagine my life without him.
My 2 beautiful, healthy kids. Some people probably take it for granted, but I have learned how truly lucky I am, and I am just so thankful for them.
My job and being able to buy my family whatever we need. We adopted several angels this year, and some of the things they ask for are basic needs, or simple items like crayons. Breaks my heart.
awick14 Do you play music/sing or did you mean listening to music?
Just listening to it. I'm not a good singer and I hated instruments growing up. I liked the recorder in elementary school but hated everything else I've ever tried. Lol

Same here. I can't sing or play anything well, but I can enjoy it.
