So I am almost done with my SS gift, I am waiting on one thing which should be coming today. Well last night I had a dream about it, in my dream I was almost done with my gift and then I realized I was in 3 other SS exchanges on other boards and hadn't purchased a single thing! LOL. Thankfully this is the only exchange I am in.
I can't stand when people do rude things. If the bus is crowded, do not put your bag on the seat next to you - put it on your lap so someone else can sit down. Ugh.
I got an email yesterday from Stitch Fix with a code to waive the $20 "styling fee" if I scheduled a fix in the next two weeks. After how disappointing my last fix was I wasn't planning to use them again, but I can't resist free so I'm giving them one more chance. I was very honest in my notes, so we'll see what I get. And if it's all terrible again... at least I don't have to pay anything to have gotten it or to return it!
Last night we ate out family style at a Mexican restaurant. They just kept bringing more food and more food. Our group nearly needed stretchers to get us to our cars we were so full. But boy was it good. We should plan a WC g2g somewhere like that. Someday!
HoneySpider one year I really was in four exchanges between the boards, work, and church. It was so stressful. Not worth the return gifts at all.

Sorry it was so disappointing Maybe your stylist got her act together and this next one is going to be much more on target!

I hope so! I was really clear in my fix note that I haven't been happy with my last couple and why. Did you get a code yesterday? I didn't see anything in the email that made me think it was a code specifically for me, so I'm wondering if I can share it with other people.

I didn't get a code yesterday! I'm willing to bet they're trying to make things right with you.
I am expecting my latest fix today....FX! (Correction: Next Week)
HoneySpider - that's when I'd be like, "excuse me, can you move your bag?" haha
I have definitely said something to people before. Yesterday I watched an old lady get on the bus, look around for somewhere to sit, and finally someone else pointed out a seat next to a guy that had a bag on it. She had to actually ask him if she could sit down. Come on dude.

So I'm fed up with my patients asking if I'm pregnant. I am still 15 pounds over my prepregnancy weight, but I don't look pregnant. This baby weight ain't budging, and I imagine it will hang around until I wean. So I was feeling a little down yesterday, even though I know I shouldn't let those comments bother me.
I was telling my husband about it last night, and how I'm not feeling very attractive lately because in addition to the extra weight, I also rarely shave or exfoliate or paint my nails... essentially I just don't take care of myself like I used to.
He was so sweet. He told me that I have never been more beautiful, that I now have a mother's body, and that I simply just worry more about taking care of our son instead of myself. He said that is more attractive than being skinny or well groomed.
I work a double today but have a really large chunk of time now to get things done and maybe nap! YAY! I should be receiving a package or two today as well. I love getting happy mail!

Happy dance @moonbeam!
pooh8402- You seriously look AMAZING!!! Your patients are crazy for asking you that because you don't look pregnant at all. ((hugs)) I totally get not feeling attractive PP...I still don't and I think it's just a matter of accepting that things are different now and that's ok.

Vacuumed downstairs, helped DH with some of his laundry (yes, he does his own!), and mopped the floor. My neighbor friend is coming over soon to hang out for a bit.
Oh, and I woke up super early (DH woke up at 3:30 and I couldn't go back to sleep so I got out of bed at 4:15 this morning)...DH and I had a good talk about where to move. He's really in limbo with his job right now...he's thinking we should move where we want to live and he can do the commute for 1-2 years if needed. All this even more leaning that way because his high up boss is making him work his older schedule (which he moved earlier to beat traffic...now he will sit in 30 min more of traffic/day when it's already a good 1 hr drive each way).
So I'm going to look at a house after work tonight with a realtor! We have been thinking of starting to look in the next few months, but last night I found a house online that my H was actually interested enough in to want to look at!
Based on the pictures, it's incredibly similar to our first house, which we loved, but every thing we didn't like about our first house is solved with this one, I.e. 2.5 bathrooms instead of one, dining room instead of an incredibly small eating area within the kitchen, room for 2 cars to park side by side in driveway, etc.
Unfortunately, I doubt this specific house will work out because after talking to the realtor, it sounds like there is another very interested buyer making an offer soon, and I don't really want to rush this. It would probably be too late by the time we are ready to make an offer. But I am excited to at least start looking and get the ball moving forward, even if it's not for this house.
I went to the post office this morning and there was NO line. It was a Christmas miracle. I got my 6 packages mailed in about 15 minutes, but when I left there were 8 people in line. I seriously got so lucky. My new thankful-thursday item.
pooh8402 You are gorgeous and look great. I can't fathom why they would ask if you're pregnant, because you're right, you do not look pregnant at all. I'm sorry you have to deal with that Your husband sounds like he said the perfect thing though.
@moonbeam YIPPEE!
mac08 Good luck! Getting a husband out to look at houses is often the hardest part.
luv2rn4fun I hope you guys settle where to move soon. I will say that my husband's DC commute took a big toll on his overall energy level and ability to be fully engaged in life, so we wouldn't personally take on a long commute if it could be avoided. But you've done it before so maybe you guys are better at adapting.

amaranth- DH has had long commutes our entire marriage (shortest was 30 min without much traffic; longest was just over an hour which this one is taking on really bad days). It does a number on him and our relationship because he comes home grumpy and tends to take it out on me. I am completely not in favor of a long commute but can understand doing it for a short season if that's what it takes to live where we want to live. Definitely not something I would encourage for much more than 6 months, maybe a year if he were on his best behavior The only good thing about this potential commute is that, although it's about 50 miles, it's against traffic so that is much easier than a 1 hr drive that is stop and go the entire way.
Glad you got in and out of the post office so easily! What a blessing for you today!

Since H list our credit card last week all of my gifts are delayed. This means my SS gift will be as well. I feel like I am letting you down SS. Please don't be mad at me...you can be mad at my DH:)
My regional boss took me and 2 other managers out for lunch today. Hibachi and 2.5 hrs off work. Yes please!
The house was great... I wouldn't change anything about it- I loved all of the finishes, layout, everything. But, they already have 2 offers, and a third is likely this weekend. We are just not in a position to rush into this and try to outbid people, given that this is the first house we have looked at. I am a little sad because a house this nice doesn't come along in our price range very often, but I don't want to make a rushed decision. I am glad we are getting the ball rolling though with starting the process and I hope something else comes on the market that we will love just as much.
