The activist hacking group Anonymous has selected Donald Trump as its latest target in the wake of the GOP presidential candidate's proposal to ban Muslims from entering the U.S.
“Donald Trump, it has come to our attention that you want to ban all Muslims [from entering] the United States. This policy is going to have a huge impact," a person wearing a Guy Fawkes mask says in a video posted by the group.
The figure in the video continued by arguing that the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) wants the U.S. to ban Muslims from entering the country in an effort to make them more easily recruitable.
"The more the United States appears to be targeting Muslims, not just radical Muslims, you can be sure that ISIS will be putting that on their social media campaign," the person in the video says.
"Donald Trump, think twice before you speak anything. You have been warned," the figure adds.
The group said Friday it targeted a website for Trump Tower in New York, which was unable to be accessed by The Hill on Friday morning, saying the take-down was a "statement against racism and hatred."
Anonymous has launched similar attacks on other groups, as well as made public statements on issues surrounding race including the release of information on alleged Ku Klux Klan members last month.
It has been running an operation against ISIS, claiming thousands of social media accounts allegedly affiliated with the militant group, and has planned for a so-called day of trolling Friday to combat ISIS.
Trump has stood by his proposal this week to temporarily ban Muslim foreign nationals from entering the U.S. amid stoked fears of terrorism, which have risen in polling to the level immediately after 9/11.

I know they think they are being threatening, but every time I hear about them threatening someone or some group I just sort of giggle. I don't think Blow.it.out.your.Trump cares.
I think one Anonymous person dedicated to turning up dirt on Trump and exposing it is not going to negatively impact their focus on ISIS.
I actually love that they are targeting him.
Trump's enterprise refused to rent to Blacks in the 70s and settled a lawsuit then. His father was arrested for being in a brawl with KKK people and was linked to them. They denied their German heritage and pretended they were Swedish even though his grandfather was a German immigrant. And his grandfather made his fortune by running brothels in the west during the Gold rush. It would be awesome for Anonymous to dig in and discover if there were any solid links to Nazi Germany, any other established patterns of racism, or him employing illegal immigrants - anything that takes away any credibility of seriousness of his claims.
He is clearly a joke. But he is putting our country at risk with his rhetoric and the fact that it exposes how many horrible Americans there are that agree with him.

I truly don't think his supporters care. They would care if he was a secret operative of the Clintons, or took money from gun control lobbying groups, or said something nice about Michelle Obama, or was caught with a hot mic saying that Hobby Lobby sucks balls and Planned Parenthood provides valuable services. In other words, anything we find objectionable - no matter how much so - will whip his base.

I don't really blame his family for denying their German heritage during world war two with Japanese internment camps and all.
I don't think the actions of his family have any relevance to his ability to be president. I doubt that anonymous is going to find things that are more horrible than what's coming out of own his mouth. I'm pretty sure the only way they're going to sway his base is if they reveal information that he secretly donates to planned parenthood or supports gun control or something.
