Every year I have to watch at least some of these:
A Christmas Story It's a Wonderful Life Christmas Vacation Home Alone The animated classics Muppet Christmas Carol Scrooge (Albert Finney version) Polar Express
and the Alistair Sims Christmas Carol, the Ghost of Christmas Past scenes in that movie STILL creep me out.
My mom and I used to watch the Ref every year together. When I was in HS/college it was usually just the 2 of us on Christmas Eve so we would make super nachos and watch the Ref.

All the classics! (fwiw, I like the Alastair Sim version of A Christmas Carol)
The following are included in my classics: Die Hard, Gremlins, the Ref, Funny Farm, Lethal Weapon, Iron Man 3 (really anything that takes place at Christmas).
I also love cheesy Hallmark style Christmas movies. Hater gonna hate!

H and I have three movies we watch together every year, Love Actually, the Ref, and Die Hard.
Then with the kids I watch the cartoon How the Grinch Stole Christmas, a Garfield Christmas Special, and the Muppet Christmas Carol. Sometimes we fit in Frosty or Rudolph too.
We'll also watch the episode of Frasier where he pretends to be Jewish, but it's not a staple.
We watch the LOTR trilogy every year, and now that the Hobbit trilogy is done, that's part of the mix, too. Which means 18 hours of Peter Jackson, LOL.
We also watch Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas, which I watched religiously as a child and H found on DVD for me several years ago.
