How old is your kid? 13 months
Are they walking yet? Not yet. I did get him to take a couple wobbly steps toward me the other day though.
Talking? Lots of babbling. Has used a few words but not consistently. He yells MAMAMAMA when he's not getting what he wants from me.
Favorite food? All the food! He looooves to eat, especially fruit.
Nap schedule? Once a day at 12 at daycare or twice a day around 9 and 1 at home.
Favorite thing about this age? He is so sweet! He has a little independence and will play and explore a bit but he always comes back for snuggles and kisses. I love how fast they learn too.
Least favorite thing? He is into everything and has strong OPINIONS!
Anything else you want to talk about? DS2 is my last baby and I'm so sad about it. I wish I could go back and do it all over again. I love babies.
14 mos today! They say Dada and mama and lots of babble. DD is walking like a machine. DS cruises furniture. They love lots of food..berries, fruit, veggies, chicken, sausage, ham, cheese, yogurt, french toast sticks, cheerios...etc Just went to 1 nap a day...1245-4 They play together so good. And the twin talk is so fun to watch. They also are very easy to run errands with. I love this age. I can't wait until they talk more and can tell us what they want. Also DD keeps waking MOTN for no reason. Trying to sleep train and CIO with twins sucks.

How old is your kid? Almost 13 months
Are they walking yet? Oh yes.
Talking? Sort of a little: "ca" for the cat, and "du" for the ducks, though not really yet to the level of consistency I was expecting with first words.
Favorite food? Freeze dried strawberries
Nap schedule? Is a hot mess. I think she should be on 2 naps, but daycare has her on one, and then she was sick this week so anything like a schedule was completely out the window anyway.
Favorite thing about this age? She's really charming when she is rested and in a good mood. So like 20 minutes per day lately. It's adorable the way she tries to imitate everything we do. I love when I lie down on the floor and she toddles up to me, lifts my shirt, and blows a giant raspberry on my belly... just like I do to her.
Least favorite thing? Molars. Fuck molars. They are almost as bad as the cold she had all week, except they've been going on for weeks already and I don't think we are even half done with this set yet.
Anything else you want to talk about? She climbed onto the couch by herself for the first time today. At least for the first time I've seen. She launched herself onto it like she had been doing it all her life. I was quite surprised.
DS is 12.5 months. Not walking yet- just cruising the furniture or will walk holding our hands. He says mama, dada and I think he wants to be German bc he keeps saying "nein" over and over but I can't figure out what he means. He loves fruit and cheese. 1 nap after lunch for 1.5-2 hours ish. He is picking things up so quickly now! I inadvertently taught him to stick his tongue out at me bc of this. He throws a little fit when I don't let him smack the dog or do whatever ill advised thing he wants.
Can we have a check-in for say 9-15 month kiddos? How old is your kid?just turned one Are they walking yet? yes Talking?sort of...she says dada to everything Favorite food? Meat or any kind of cake Nap schedule? 2 naps, first 2 hours after she wakes up Favorite thing about this age? She is always really happy and excited. Least favorite thing?she gets into everything Anything else you want to talk about?
Are they walking yet? Cruising and walking if we hold her hands. She's taken a step or two between furniture and then sat right down when she realized.
Talking? Mama and Dada. She says nay nay a lot and we don't know what it means yet. Its only when she is mad about something.
Favorite food? Whatever I am eating. lol. She HAS to have some. Her fav is my breakfast-oatmeal made with almond milk and coconut milk yogurt mixed in. HAS to be with my spoon too. Toast, blueberries and pears are also high on the list.
Nap schedule? Usually 2. AM nap is shorter, maybe and hour or so. Always 2hrs after she wakes no matter the time. Afternoon nap is 230-5 with nanny, about 1-3 with me.
Favorite thing about this age? How much she learns and changes everyday. It's amazing to watch. And seeing her personality starting. Oh, and the hugs and gross open mouth kisses.
Least favorite thing? The attitude that has already began. The drama! Her needing me all.the.damn.time. And FFS kid, STTN already!
How old is your kid? She will be 15 months on the 22nd.
Are they walking yet? Not consistently. It's more of a novelty to her, I think, and not so much a way to get around.
Talking? So much. "Doggie", "daddy", "mama", "wet", "baba" (for bottle), "baby"; today she added "cracker"
Favorite food? Loves berries.
Nap schedule? On weekdays, it's 9ish and 1ish. On weekends, she doesn't tend to nap until around one and it's usually a longer nap, but only the one.
Favorite thing about this age? Interacting with her. She is so loving - always wants hugs and kisses. And she loves to have my attention.
Least favorite thing? Probably the same thing as my favorite - she wants me around and interacting with her all the time. It makes moving into a new house really difficult.
Anything else you want to talk about? I cannot wait until we get to and beyond potty training. I feel like there is no other stage I've as eagerly anticipated.

How old is your kid? 9.5 months
Are they walking yet? No, crawling all over, pulling up and very short standing with no hands
Talking? Dada, Mama, he says TuhTuh to say his own name plus his own little made up words Ai-yah, Ed-ah (those are excited words), Mmmmm, and Ne-yah. He's a motor mouth and it's so cute! He will also sign for "milk" and "more"
Favorite food? He eats anything, but loves chicken, avocado/guacamole, and pancakes
Nap schedule? STTN 11-12 hours, then a 30 min nap around 9, then a nap in the afternoon ranging from 30-90 minures. He's a terrible napper but sleeps so good at night that I don't care
Favorite thing about this age? He's so much fun! I love playing with him and I love his smile, he's so friendly and happy. I agree with PP that I'm not a newborn person, if I have another I'd like to give birth to a 6 month old
Least favorite thing? He's started biting and kicking and having an opinion, the head thrown back drama is fun. He also is really into me and will cry if I leave the room even if DH is right there with him.
Anything else you want to talk about? What do you feed your kids at home? I want healthy and well rounded but easy
Are they walking yet? Taking steps (the most I've counted in a row is 8), standing up on her own and cruising like a champ, but not walking yet.
Talking? Yes..."Mama", "Dada", and "Dog" for sure, and I think maybe some others that we haven't quite figured out. She also mimics like a champ...like if I cough, she also "coughs" and when I yawn she says "Ahhh". She also has a few signs.
Favorite food? Cheese and strawberries
Nap schedule? We do 2-3-4, so first nap is usually around 9am, but it lasts anywhere from 45 min to 2 hours, so her second nap time is variable, but usually between 1pm and 2pm for 2 hours.
Favorite thing about this age? Watching her learn so much. I can tell she understands what I'm saying to her. She just learned to show us her nose, her tummy, and her toes.
Least favorite thing? She's whiny in the evening and needs constant entertaining to prevent total meltdown. I'm home with her during the week and start counting the minutes until bedtime sometime around 5:30pm.
Anything else you want to talk about? She STTN for a week, but didn't want us to get used to that, so she's back to waking up MOTN...sometimes just to nurse and go back to sleep, but others (like last night) she is awake for HOURS.
How old is your kid? Will be 10 months on the 20th
Are they walking yet? Nope. Crawling, pulling up and cruising
Talking?
She babbles constantly but never really considered what she is saying words.
Favorite food? We are struggling with solids. She loves breast milk from a bottle. I guess she like amaranth and zucchini purée.
Nap schedule? 9 & 2 pretty much like clockwork. Duration of naps very from 45mins to 2hrs.
Favorite thing about this age? She is so curious! She much fun seeing her discover new things. Hearing her laugh! (She is a 'serious' baby. Laughing isn't a regular occurrence)
Least favorite thing? Getting into everything! I think she is going to be a climber. She will climb onto the couch.
Anything else you want to talk about? Im so nervous to transition her to sippy cups/wcm & solids. She just doesn't like solids yet and has rejected 11 different sippy cups. She did eat 6 puffs this morning so that is encouraging! I just need to keep offering and hopefully it will click. I just am freaking out that she will be ready to ditch bottles in 2 months.
Are they walking yet? No. She's cruising pretty well but no independent walking. Even holding her arms up scares her.
Talking? She says things that sound like words, but I'm not sure they are. I think she says "mum mum" when she's eating something she likes. And moves her mouth when she's hungry, like chomping her jaws!
Favorite food? Um, everything except eggs. Tonight at dinner alone she ate pork chop, about 5 asparagus spears, sweet potato, roll, a squash/chickpea/carrot puree and a broccoli/spinach puree. And breastmilk and half a pear for desert.
Nap schedule? Well it used to be 2x but in the past 3 days she's going through some sort of terrible separation anxiety and just starts screaming the second we put her in the crib. It's awful. Like hysterical screaming. Today this afternoon I had to put her in the stroller and rock her and she passed out for an hour. Is this happening to anyone else? I'm so sad, we used to be able to just put her in the crib and she'd go to sleep. She'd even do that a bit at night instead of nursing to sleep. This is worse than newborn sleep.
Favorite thing about this age? Her sense of humor. She understands when things are funny and it's just so damn cute.
Least favorite thing? See above re: naps. I really hope this passes soon. And the defiance. She does this hysterical thing where she'll pick up a piece of food off her high chair tray, hold her arm out to the side, death stare me in the face and just open her little hand and let the food drop. Even when I give her a sad/mad face, she still does it. And then laughs! It's ridiculous.

How old is your kid? 14 mo
Are they walking yet? Yep, for about the last 2 months or so
Talking? All the time, but you can't understand 99% of it. Mommy and Bunny sound an awful lot alike...
Favorite food? everything except veggies
Nap schedule? depends on the day. If I don't take her sister to preschool then she's usually down 3ish hours after she gets up and that usually lasts 1.5-2 hrs. Then she may or may not take another short nap in the afternoon. On days I take her sister to preschool, she is kept up until preschool, then she naps during preschool hours.
Favorite thing about this age? everything is new and amazing to them
Least favorite thing? the crying and screaming because she's frustrated. can't get on the ottoman - scream about it. can't put the tiny bin over your head the way you can do with the big bin - scream about it. sister takes the toy you were playing with - scream about it.
I have a question: when did your baby get his/her first tooth? DS is almost 9 months and has no teeth. I didn't get my first until 9 months, so I guess that's to be expected, but I don't know any babies his age who don't have teeth.

DDs popped through on her 1st birthday. She is now 14 months and has 3. Her pediatrician said he would recommend seeing a dentist if nothing shows by 18 months.

DS got his two bottom teeth at 6 months, then 4 top one's at 8 months.
My pedi said that anywhere between 4 months and a year was normal and the longer it takes to come in, the stronger the teeth. My niece didn't get a tooth until 13 months then they all started popping up. Your DS is perfectly normal (and very cute! Great pic)
Just mumble jumble, but she dies the whole brrrrrb brrrrrrb brrrrb thing while shaking her lips w/ her finger, and it's adorable. We sometimes have whole conversations like this, lol
Fave food: bananas and peas Naps - usually about 2 a day, but the time varies. We just try tongi with the flow.
Favorite thing- BABY KISSES! She leaves my cheeks sipping wet. Least fave- her neediness is starting g to heighten.
Anyone an expert on baby girl hair? Lol. DDs hair is starting to get a little wild. DH described it as "Roseanne Barr-ish." LOL A small bow/barrette helps, but she likes to pull them out. Any advice?
Favorite word right now is light (i-eet) while pointing at all the lights and switches, and sometimes he'll just randomly gaze up with his hand in the air and go i-eet! i-eet! He'd obsessed with the Christmas tree and getting to turn on/off our light switches. He also says dada, oatmeal (ohhhhh-a), woah (when I push him around on his ride on truck), and hi. He says mama, but I still don't know if he means me
Favorite food is Cheerios, but he also loves ground turkey and bananas.
Naps around 1 - 1.5 hours once a day, usually going down around 11. He was never a good napper and dropped to one nap really early.
Favorite thing about this age? He's so excited and curious about everything, and lots of big grins and belly laughs. I love the look of wonder on his face when he sees something new or interesting.
Least favorite thing? Probably also the curiosity because it's hard to get anything done when he's awake since he is into everything, and if he knows he's not supposed to touch something, he wants to touch it all the time. He'll walk over to something, look at me, and put his hand on it. If I tell him no, he'll smile and do it again. When I start to walk over, he'll scamper off.
kate1482 don't stress too much about the bottle...if it takes a little bit after 12 months to transition it's ok.
krystee DD got her first teeth right before turning 10 months (the week of our wedding..yay). There was no sign of them and then the top two popped through one right after the other. She had 5 by her first birthday, and is hanging steady there. I don't think they really "worry" about it until 18 months.
