Mac and cheese dinner FTW tonight. Then the two boys played well together after dinner so I could fold laundry before H got home from work. Now all the boys are outside trying to determine what's wrong with my car. Something muffler-y, I think.
Having both boys on my own tomorrow is making me nervous at 37 weeks, so I'm trying to come up with activities that aren't watching all the Christmas movies. I think we'll make rice krispie treats for sure, but that's all I've got so far.

Amazon claims my package was delivered at 4:56 p.m., but I can't find it anywhere. It has the last thing for my Secret Santa in it and I want to mail the package tomorrow. Boooo.
We're on Ferber night 7 and DD has been crying for 40 minutes now. MOTN has gotten much better but bedtime sucks.

My normally really good eater hardly ate anything today and then he asked to go to bed st 5:30. He was in his crib at 6:02 and asleep by 6:05. I'm terrified that this means he is getting sick. Please send no puke vibes my way.
On a positive note I'm watching Love Actually and wrapping presents. One of my favourite holiday traditions!
Also I am starting to feel guilty about moving P to the therapeutic preschool when he turns one. I love our daycare so damn much. But this will be better for him. His eval is next week.
We got a holiday card from cincodemayo's family today and C was so excited to see a picture of his friend and kept asking to look at it again. I love their little friendships at age 2!
The SS reveal thread is making me anxious about mine being good enough. I was so nervous about not getting stuff done before this baby came that when I found what I wanted to order I sent it directly from where I bought it. This now seems so impersonal compared to the others in the reveal thread. Don't hate me SS!

Aww good luck with the eval! Did you end up deciding to send C as well or not?

Good Times Park. They play. You sit.
Go in the morning and stay until nap time. You can even bring a lunch, they have tables to eat at. Once home put C down for a nap, S can watch a movie and you nap!
Tonight after dinner E and K were standing over by the toy box. I heard K say to E "Are you going poopy?" To which E responded "yeeahh" and then "all done going poopy now"
I sat there for a minute proud that the girls are now conversing with each other in sentences and how cute it is. Then I burst out laughing because it was about poop.
DD was so easy tonight, which is what I needed. I told her after dinner it was bedtime. She took her last bite and said, "Okay. I go to bed now?" Ummm, yes. Yes you do! She walked right upstairs, we did the bedtime routine and she laid in her crib happily as can be.
DH says she always does that same thing for him on Mondays when I'm at class but for me she wants to play or stall and be silly. Not tonight thankfully!
spk926 Do they have stuff that a 9yo would be interested in? I've wanted to take C, but hadn't thought of taking both of them.
YES! Play structures he can play on, large pillow bouncing thing (like trampoline but different), large basketball court, huge soccer area with other toys, building area with large foam blocks and "sticks" to build with. Look at their website or just Google image search the name. Plus they have chairs you can just sit and watch.
glitzy07 the last time we were there was a non-school day and a school-age Y group came with kids roughly 6-12 (kindergarten-5th grade) and they were having a blast.
Mil is STILL HERE. She has been in a weird mopey mood for the NINE HOURS she has been here.
At one point I was getting ds2 down for a nap and he was crying. One of my SILs asked her what she needed (because she was acting/looking upset) and she said "to not be around a crying baby". Dh said "well you're in the wrong place then. Do you want to leave?" She was silent & a SIL Changed the topic. If I had been there I would have told her to leave.
Oh God a baby was just born on parenthood. I'm too recent for this! #hormones
Also why does no one ever get a c section? I guess not good tv.
I feel that no one has a vaginal birth on TV! There is always some emergency
My inner nerd wants to compile TV c-section rates now.
@starry, both Meredith and Callie had c-sections on Grey's. But you're right that no one on TV has a scheduled C for breech presentation or a C for failure to progress or normal things like that.
H kept C outside until 30 minutes past his bedtime, which means we finished bedtime routine an hour late. He's usually pretty go-with-the-flow, but is currently sitting up in his bed screaming "Mommy!" over and over instead of going to sleep. Kid. Go to sleep!
namasteak what the heck?!? Why is she even there if she doesn't want to be? I forget the back story. Is she from out of town and there for a few days?
She decided to here (staying with a friend) after BILs wedding when she heard my SILs were coming. She is depressed but refuses meds, has serious case of FOMO and no filter. Earlier she She kept talking to me about our old dying even after I said I couldn't handle thinking about it. Glad my SIL stepped in to change the subject.

I came home early from work. Contractions and puking. Doctor wants me to lay down and drink some water to see if the contractions are just from dehydration and stress.
Feeling a little better already and the contractions aren't as bad, so that's good at least.
Oh that's hard namasteak. I'm sorry. You've had an eventful past few days to say the least!
Thanks. She is ok in small doses (like on Wed & Thurs) but she has been here for almost 9.5 hours today. Which is hard on one of her good days but is pretty awful on a bad day like today.
I am exhausted. We hosted my parents and brother for dinner tonight in honor of my mom's birthday and I pulled out all the stops: all made-from-scratch food (including a Barefoot Contessa cake that took all morning to make), good china/crystal/flatware, floral arrangements, etc. Thankfully my mom was absolutely delighted and so appreciative of everything.
Looking forward to a foot massage from DH and an early bedtime.

We are at Great Wolf Lodge for the weekend. M is having a blast. I now get why people take their kids to Disney over and over. I love seeing him so happy.
So obviously once DD went to bed I suddenly wasn't tired as before. Funny how that works! So now I'm on the couch watching the Michael Buble Christmas special that I DVR'd from last night. I like him so much. The only thing that bothers me is how he says his /s/. I just looked him up and he's 40?!??!!

We get to punt the decision down the road because there's no available spots in his age group for peer models. So he's on a wait list and we will decide if and when a spot opens up.

I tried a new mexican place today for lunch. They make their own horchata. Mmmmm. I got a cup to go and I've been savoring it all afternoon. My SS gift was delivered and now I'm stalking the reveal thread.
