DD has had a red rash for 1.5 months. We are using free and clear seventh generation diapers and sensitive wipes. We do baking soda baths and lather on triple paste at every change. Her labia some days looks like leather due to the skin being so irritated.
She doesn't seem bothered by it but my mom mentioned that if left long enough the area around her labia could stain permanently. What can I do to get rid of this?

Triple paste and all white diaper creams have zinc in them, which is drying. It works for yeast, but can make irritation worse. Layer her with a thick layer of Aquaphor each time you change her and don't wipe it off unless she poops. My kids, especially my oldest have extremely sensitive skin and it was so hard to find what worked.

When my DD had a terrible, persistent diaper rash, we were also told to use cotton balls soaked in mineral oil instead of wipes. The friction from the wipes can be really irritating to some kids, and the cotton balls and mineral oil really reduce the friction.
I was pretty skeptical that it would actually work to clean poop off, but it does.

When DD was an infant she had a heinous diapER rash that didn't respond to any normal rash creams, even triple paste (which is normally awesome). I had some lanolin from breastfeeding and tried that and it helped immensely.

We use the grovia Magic stick as a preventative/moisture barrier overnight. It's CD safe, but I would still buy it if we didn't CD. I love the stuff and one stick lasts for like a year.

Last year L had a horrific rash and we went to many doctor appointments, blood draws etc what worked was a combo of equal parts polysporin, hydrocortisone and lotrimin (clotrimazole). Mix together- he started clearing up instantly from open sores.
I used to use burnt flour on DD's most stubborn (as in patchy and bleeding) rashes. It worked so well, that I'd do a batch for me and another for a neighbour at the same time.
Old school remedy for the win.
I hope you find something that works. Poor little thing!

This this the exact recipe for all purpose nipple cream- I'll have to keep that in mind!
Coconut oil is amazing. I used it a ton with my very sensitive DD. I use it straight or sometimes I mix with Shea Butter and vitamin e oil and tea tree oil. I also gave up wipes very early on and used water and baby washcloths or paper towels.
We do this plus a tube of the stuff for jock itch when he has a yeast diaper rash. We also use Sensi-Care for everyday barrier protection because he has a sensitive bum.
When DS had a diaper rash that wouldn't go away we tried every combo of creams imaginable. The only thing that broke the cycle was adding some coconut oil to his bath.
DS had horrible open sores as an infant - we tried every diaper cream imaginable, even a prescription one from the doctor, but the only thing that ended up healing it was lots of plain Vaseline.

Poor baby!! DD1 used to get awful diaper rashes. I swear by all purpose nipple ointment. Like PP suggested, mix equal parts polysporin (not triple antibiotic ointment like neosporin), hydrocortisone cream, and Lotrimin AF (active ingredient = clotrimazole).
I still keep a little tupperware container of those three ingredients mixed on the changing table.
DD had her first aggressive diaper rash at 5 weeks. What we changed after that was switching to disposble washcloths soaked in water for diaper changes and lathering Aquaphor after every diaper change. Every single one. Back then her butt was so tiny, we were actually using little makeup squares dipped in water to wipe her. As she got older we started ordering the disposable washcloths on Amazon, it's the big box that costs around $20. Eventually we stopped wiping her all together after pee diapers. After she stopped pooping multiple times a day so like 18 months, we finally switched back to commercial wipes. We also decreased the Aquaphor lather after every diaper change at that point, only poop diapers.

We had to try a few things but what eventually worked was lots of naked time to air out, switching to water wipes, and Boudreaux's Butt Paste in the yellow tube. We still use that at every diaper change and the water wipes at home. Day care uses their wipes and they don't bother her.
