Mandy Moore wants $37,000 a month for "pet alimony." She and her ex Ryan have eight pets.

Fighting like cats and dogs? More like fighting over cats and dogs.
In an unusual Hollywood divorce battle, singer and actress Mandy Moore is seeking spousal support from Ryan Adams to take care of their pets. There is a total of eight cats and dogs that the couple shared during their marriage that she said she’s struggling to support on a salary she claims is a quarter of Adams’ salary.
“It’s becoming overwhelming for her to take care of all the animals,” People magazine writer, Melody Chiu, told ABC News.
Moore, who burst onto the pop music scene in 1999 with the hit song “Candy," married Ryan Adams in 2009 after a one-month engagement.
Adams, a singer and songwriter most recently known for his cover of Taylor Swift’s album “1989,” has been nominated for multiple Grammy awards.
In court documents obtained by People magazine, Moore writes, “Although I love our pets, it is overwhelming for me to take care of all eight of them all of the time...I was even forced to cancel a prior work engagement because my housekeeper was ill and unable to stay with our pets.”
“She has a lot she would like to accomplish with her career, but she has to stay at home with the animals and she needs his help financially in order to do that,” said Chiu.
Fans of Moore are no stranger to her love of her fur babies, thanks to the many Instagram photos she posts of them.
In addition to support for their pets, Moore is also seeking traditional spousal support. The two announced their split in January.
ABC News reached out to the attorneys for both Adams and Moore. Adams’ attorney had no comment and Moore’s attorney has not responded.
Everything I've read about him is that he's king of the douches so I say pay up. I like some of his music but I don't care. Pay for being jerky. In life. Karma court.

I think the amount is ridiculous but f he was a driving force behind getting them and then just left her to take care of them, I do t think it's unreasonable to ask for a financial contribution.
Whatever. She's backdooring for more alimony. I'm guessing their prenup can't be worked around and she has no career or income.
Eh, they don't have kids. Her choice not to have a career is not something I think she should be compensated for. I get he may be an asshole but really if being an asshole entitled your spouse to money I would be a billionaire by now, trust
Who is Ryan Adams? Is he the guy that sang that Robin Hood song?
Former frontman of 90s alt-country band Whiskeytown. Singer songwriter. Most recently released a cover of Taylor Swift's "1989."
He's a genius musician, albeit desperately in need of an editor/producer. He's very prolific, and when you write a bunch of songs, some are going to be turds.
I've only seen him once, and he had a total meltdown on stage and stormed off. He has a long history of substance abuse issues and has a reputation as a total diva.
But "Strangers Almanac" and "Faithless Street" are two of the best albums of the 90s. If the song "Houses on the Hill" doesn't just slay you, then you're dead inside.
