DD has been sent home from daycare now twice for "diarrhea", which is really just a diaper blowout based on what you ladies told me in an earlier post and what the pedi said. After the 2nd incident, they made me get a note from the pedi that she was ok. Stools are normal, she just has a lot, basically a blow out every time she poops. We already sized up to 3s (just barely at the lower weight limit for them) and have tried huggies and costco diapers (which I think are pampers?) It's worse with the huggies.
Is there a different diaper we should try or other suggestions?
I think Costco are most similar to Huggies actually. We've always used Pampers Swaddlers or Cruisers with no blowout issues except for when they get too small.
We normally use pampers, but I for a box of Huggies on sale, so we have been using them. I went from no blowouts ever to averaging 1-2 a day. I can't stand them.

Good lord, if our daycare had sent ds home for every blowout, he would have never been there. There was a period when nothing could contain him. Good luck.
Add me to the Pampers train. Huggies = multiple blowouts for us as well.
I like the Baby Dry Pampers because they are designed for 12 hour absorbancy, so they can handle a little more. Make sure that the ruffles are out and err to sizing up where possible.
I bought Huggies because they were on sale and DS is past the blow out stage (i also don't use that many diapers cding) but I had problems with both kids and blowouts when they were little.
I have the best luck with Pampers and Luvs actually.
Starting solids might help, so hold in there until you do that. Also change the brands, I've found Pampers baby-dry work well and a local brand here (I'm in Switzerland so this won't help).
I tried huggies and The Honest Company while in the US, she had blow outs with both. Pampers Baby-Dry were the only ones that worked.
Pampers swaddlers and don't be afraid to size up a lot. Dd is in size 4 and she's only 6 months, not even at the lower weight limit but it's all that will contain the poosplosions. Solids helped too.

Seriously. My kid always comes home in a different outfit.
I have no answer. I've tried a few different brands when pampers weren't cutting it and nothing seems to work.
Did you tell them that was a normal poop? Diarrhea is really watery in babies.
Yes multiple times. The pedi laughed when we told him she got sent home twice for runny yellow curdy poop...you know normal baby poop. Now that we have a note saying its normal hoping they don't say anything else but I'm sick of sending sooo many outfits to daycare and them then writing "blowout diarrhea" on her report sheet
E had blowouts 1-2 times a day for a few months. It never failed...always right out the back. Starting solids helped but not until she was 8 or 9mths old. The only diapers we found that worked were Pampers Baby Dry.

Good luck. We never conquered the million blowouts issue. Sizing up did help at some points though.
At that age we were mostly CDing, but when we did use disposables we often put a cloth diaper cover over because disposables suck at containing poop. That's just life, not diarrhea.
DS2 has the same issue. I use Sunbaby cloth diapers as a cover over the disposable. When he does poop, the CD catches what blows out of the disposable.
