What do you eat on Christmas Eve? Christmas morning? Christmas dinner?
Brought to you by me hosting others for the first time. Luckily it's just my parents and they are easy to please, but I want to start figuring out my plans.
Christmas Eve we go to a friend's house for a "feast of the seven fishes." I'm bringing ribs for the people that don't eat fish. It's a large group and not everyone likes the different courses.
Christmas morning I make waffles. Usually we have waffle sundaes for breakfast but this year H was waffles with the whiskey maple syrup we just bought.
Christmas dinner we are doing a bourbon glazed ham. I'm making a sweet gravy, mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole, corn, carrots , broccoli gratin and biscuits. I also plan on making a pan of stuffed shells. Random but a tradition in my family. We are hosting and are planning on 2 children 7 adults. For appetizers I plan on piggies in a blanket, crab cakes, bacon wrapped shrimp, and a cheese platter.
I think I changed my answer to, I'll be at suzv's house. Her traditions sound fantastic.
My family does Waffles on Christmas Eve, Cinnamon Rolls Christmas morning, and a traditional ham and fixings feast for lunch. I honestly wish we did something more casual on Christmas day because no one ever wants to help my mom cook and we'd be just as happy with pizza. lol.
Christmas Eve is usually an evening full of appies. (We normally get together with MILs extended family and it's a potluck style appie night. We are just don't immediate family this year.) Christmas morning is changes every year. This year I may look for a crockpot recipe for over night.

My parents, brother, and his partner are coming to our house for Christmas for the first time this year. Well pretty much do the traditional for my parents' side of the family.

Everyone's meals sound awesome!
At my parents, it's usually whatever my mom decides for Christmas Eve, cinnamon rolls for Christmas morning, and turkey/ham/sides for Christmas dinner.
My inlaws don't seem to have any traditions when it comes to Christmas meals. In fact, one year MIL had nothing planned for Christmas dinner and no groceries. We ended up at Friday's. I happily would have shopped/cooked had I known nothing was planned. Hmm...so apparently this became a vent thread.

Growing up, my mom always cooked ham for Christmas Eve, we had pork roll and/or cinnamon rolls for breakfast, and dinner was my aunt's lasagna.
Over the years as the family has expanded, moved away, etc it's not always the same depending on where we are/who is celebrating where. This year my parents are doing Christmas at their house with just me, DH, brother, SIL and niece. DH and I will also be there for Christmas Eve. I am going to cook pierogies and potato pancakes. Breakfast will still be pork roll and/or cinnamon rolls and IDK what Mom is planning for dinner, maybe ham.
