I've been there. There's so much stuff you just don't think about until you need it. *hugs*
And we're coming up on the one-year mark in our house and within the past few months we needed to fix the roof and take down a rotten tree in the yard.
It's definitely worth it to have a place of our own, but it still hurts to see the bills. Hang in there!
Let's see: Curtains and Wood Blinds for the front of the house Rugs New bed New Toilets (were freaks and like to be first haha) The movers Lots of trips to Lowes and Home Depot TV for family room A mini trampoline for the backyard (my son is so happy bouncing on it)
Left to pay off next month: New appliances Remainder of the Contractors Bill More Curtains/Blind, Furniture and Deocr
How are you guys settling in? Is DS getting more comfortable?
Were still in boxes but doing a little bit everyday. My ds is adjusting pretty well. He loves playing in the bigger space and backyard. He is sleeping but refuses to take naps and is scared of the new bathtub. It will take time
I want to see pics! How's everything going so far?
It's been stressful. We just completed a bunch of work on house (wire update, painting, repair etc.) with more to come and living off of boxes is not fun.
Here is a pic of the front (the landscaping needs a little work as well but that's down the road):

Sounds like you bought fun stuff;) We had to buy a new water heater at the beginning of the month, and this past weekend we had to pay to fix/clean the A/C unit and refill with freon. home repair bills suck...

My son was scared of the bathtub when we moved to a new house. He was 18 months at the time. Those bathtub crayons really helped, because he loved coloring the walls.
