Mine: I buy My Little Pony blind bags for myself at Target. I like getting a little surprise, and I have a bunch of them on my desk. I'm really a six-year-old girl at heart.
Also, when I took P to UC last night, they opened his diaper to take his temp rectally and a bunch of egg noodles fell out from his dinner.
Mine: it's our holiday group potluck today. I went to the dessert room first because I missed a bunch of good stuff last year. I tried to play it off like I was just perusing, but scuttled out with a plate full of sweets.
I just made my SECOND trip to the dessert room after sampling everything from my first visit.

I was quite a handful as a small child. My mom was trying to get out the door to my pedi appointment when I pulled a whole potted plant down onto myself. She cleaned me up and we went on our way.
When the nurse opened up my diaper, it was FULL of dirt. My poor mother.
One year when my sister and I were kids (I was maybe 8 and she was 6.5) somewhere around there, I bought her a Cherry Merry Muffin doll for Christmas. It was the blueberry one. I bought it because I thought I wouldn't want it and that way I wouldn't be jealous of her toy.
It completely backfired because we absolutely loved using it as a child for our barbies. It was one of the most loved toys we fought over.
Years later, probably as teens, I confessed what I had done and how it all backfired etc. My mom kept the doll and at some point her dog chewed one of the arms. But because of the whole back story and how much we loved the doll she brought it with her when she moved, mostly as a joke. So now my kids are playing with an old one-armed cherry merry muffin doll that is there to remind me what a brat I was that year lol.
I bought stocking stuffers for H today. I always buy a 3 pack of the blue Chapstick for him. Today I found a pack of that with a bonus tube of cake batter Chapstick. I took the cake batter one out and will be putting the open package with the rest in his stocking.
(1) I've made up voices for several MMMers, and I read their posts in the style of their voice. I'm not the only one who does this, right? (2) msniq and I pick up words & phrases from V, and sometimes use them when we talk to each other. Because we're adults.

Our Christmas tree that is literally take the sheet off and plug in still isn't up/out yet. I'm not even doing ornaments this year (not with a 12 month old walker!)
I actually don't mind listening to Casper babypants. Going to the library or community center for his concerts is kind of fun.
I love Caspar Babypants. He lives very local to me (like, two miles away) so he does lots of community shows in our neighborhood. Are you in Seattle?Â
I'm on the eastside. That's so cool he lives in your hood! Swedish included one of his CDs with the discharge paperwork after having dd. We have been hooked ever since.

Also - If I get to work and the randoms thread is already 3+ pages, I will wait until the afternoon thread because I want people to read my random shit!

Same with Flamefuls/Confessions Threads.
If it's already past the first page, I just start a new thread.
Sometimes I do that, but other times I'm all "I'm not cool enough to start my own threads!"

I haven't been able to do any Christmas shopping until the past 3 days. Today was the first day I was actually able to go out by myself and get anything done. I had to drag DD2 along with me even though she was a cranky mess all morning. By the time we got to Ulta, she was DONE. And I'd forgotten to bring a stroller. So I totally let her paint herself with all the eye shadows while I looked at stuff. She had pink, green, and blue streaks ALLLLLLL over her neck, chest, cheeks, and arms. When I went to check out, I felt sure I was going to get the evil eye, but they must have seen it all before because they didn't say a word.
Actually my confession is that I HATE randoms threads. HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATE.
Me too. I never read them because clicking through that many pages seems like too much work. But then I miss all the chit chat. So I wish people would just post more random posts. I would love it if the entire first page of posts was taken up with what people would otherwise post in randoms :-)
I sold gifts for E to my mom. We had too many items for Christmas, and she was asking for suggestions, so it was a win/win. I think. I still feel a bit weird about it, but she gets "pre-screened" gifts, and reaps the benefits of my bargain shopping.
Today was bonus day so I was texting some thoughts on what to do with it to H. So I thought.
I was actually texting a coworker by the same name who thinks I should say eff it to paying off our citi card and throw a big party for my friends....specifically coworkers

1) I read everything in my own voice and I am SHOCKED to hear real voices in videos on fb/ig. 2) We do the same. We have "buzzurt" after dinner and call yogurts "yo yo cars" or "YYCs".
I have caught myself saying "chock-lick" instead of "chocolate" thanks to Elliott.

This is a regular occurance in my family. I think last night my brother sold my mom some gifts for me because he went over.
I drove for 5 blocks on the wrong side of the road when I got back, and there is no good reason why. I never even drove in London.
I also hadn't driven a new car in so long that, when I rented a car on a business trip last month, I couldn't figure out how to turn it on.
Ha! I once rented a car for work - like straight out of college - and I had never driven any car regularly except mine. The rental car had some weird sport mode thing and I accidentally put it in that when I drove away. I essentially drove back to work in first gear and then again when the car load of us left to drive to a meeting. One of the guys in the car had to tell me. Whoops.
I also had to call H once to help me turn off the e-brake in a rental car because you turned it off via touch screen. This happened last year. Lol
Fairly often when I drop the kids off at school in the carpool lane (a teacher is there & opens the door/helps them out) something falls out of my car...trash, water bottle, whatever. I used to be embarrassed...now I don't even care. Yes, we are pigs.
