I don't know; I feel like this happens with one product or another to some people. I can't use Pantene, because it makes my hair fall out. I used Wen exclusively for three solid years and never had any adverse effects.
I think the greater issue for me is the blocking of reviews and the taking down of comments about hair loss. It bothers me that people were denied knowing the risks.

I kept meaning to try it and now I'm glad I never got around to it. Yikes.
Didn't @chilirellenos have an issue with her hair falling out? I'll admit it was her experience that stopped me from rushing out to buy some.
I did have hair falling out from this! Eta: I don't think it's just the wen though. I think it's cleansing conditioners in general. I've tried others with the same thing happening.
I don't know if it's clogging hair follicles or what.
Did your hair grow back once you stopped the cleansing conditioners?

I was also having issues with WEN and hair thinning, so I stopped using it. My co-worker has been using WEN for 3 years and swears by it. I think its to each their own.

I immediately thought of Lucy Honeychurch and thought, "That sonofabitch Chaz better thanks his lucky stars nothing happened to LHC's hair! She would eat him alive."
But then I thought, damn, that would be some major drama for us to follow but I don't want anything to happen to LHC's hair.
Interesting. I've been using Devacurl and although it does well for my hair I thought I've been losing a lot more hair than usual. I wonder if it could be the same thing, it's sulfate free as well.
Not all sulfate free shampoos are cleansing conditioners though. I don't think it's the sulfate free part of Wen that's causing the issues.

I had this same thought! I seem to be losing more than usual. . I'm going to have to switch.
"This prick is asking for someone here to bring him to task Somebody give me some dirt on this vacuous mass so we can at last unmask him I'll pull the trigger on it, someone load the gun and cock it While we were all watching, he got Washington in his pocket."

I lost handfuls upon handfuls of hair using devacurl. It's subsided a bit now that I don't use it, but it's still higher than it was before I started using the devacurl.

Despite this, many are still available: “Not only did it not clean my hair, it made it look like I combed it out with a pork chop,” one woman wrote on the WEN product forum.
