Is there a kid SS reveal thread that I can't find? I need to AW the pics I took of V playing with his presents.
Another weeknight dinner with parent friends tonight. I made an enchilada recipe that looks ... shall we say ... it looks like what someone from the Midwest might think of when they think of Mexican food. And I realize that's completely unfair to people from the Midwest, but it's the only thing I can think of.

H and FIL are working away on L's play kitchen. They are about 2 hours in and are working on page 10 of 15. It's going pretty well with minimal swearing!
I understand pregnancy rage for the first time after tonight. I felt like I could legitimately murder my dog with my bare hands and all he did was bark to go outside (again) and then immediately bark to come back in.
C had a terrible day today, apparently, including throwing a Hot Wheel at another little girl's head. I swear he cried more real tears tonight than he has in his entire life. Needless to say, he's down for the night 30 minutes early. I hope he resets for tomorrow.

We had an exhausting day at Disney Springs and ICE. I am waiting on the last of my secret santa things to arrive and I'm anxious to get the gifts in the mail. I don't want my SS to think I forgot her!
My sister is having a wine, cheese and pajama party at her house (next door) tonight. I'm basically going to ignore any rules about what I am and am not supposed to eat and consume all the cheese. And maybe even a few sips of wine.
DS had some baby oatmeal for the first time tonight! He actually ate more than I thought he would. To be honest, it was mostly breast milk. I'll make it a little thicker tomorrow and see how that goes.

There's a horse thief in my community... Took my old supervisor's horse out on a bareback joyride and then abandoned the horse several kms away. Thankfully the horse was found safe but wtf?
You guys! First day at the new job was fab! It's going to be new, challenging, and busy. The commute was fast/easy, the people friendly, and I remembered why I love this career. Plus Super Grover was at story time and there was a lunch time retirement party with gobs of good free food. YAY!

Observations from today's volunteer experience: We were sorting non-perishables and donated toys that will go in Christmas hampers for mothers and families who have fled domestic violence.
We had to identify the expiration date on every can/box/package of food and get rid of the expired stuff. It was astonishing just how many of them were expired. 2008 was the winner for oldest date! Why do people donate expired food?
We also sorted all the toys/gifts into ages/gender. The tables for both boys and girls age 3-5 and 6-8 were just overflowing. There was almost nothing for the under 1 and over 14 set. It was pretty sad.
In summary, if you are thinking of donating to a similar food/toy drive, check the dates of the food you are donating and think about donating gifts for babies and/or teenagers.

So, our microwave door finally stuck shut. My H and I had VASTLY different reactions. I am mildly annoyed but know we're fine because we have a stove, oven and toaster oven. H, however, is freaking out that he won't be able to heat anything up. He was ready to stop and pick up a new one tonight. I convinced him to wait until this weekend.
H decided the Lego set we bought jr for Christmas should be from us as he wants credit for giving it to him. I was hoping to give him a few small things and start getting him used to the idea that our vacation is the present. Now there isn't really a big Santa gift.
Last night I played up how delicious her medicine was because she had a fever and needed Tylenol. Apparently I did too good of a job and now she's obsessed. I was able to bribe her so so much this evening because she wanted Tylenol before bed again.
Disclaimer: she is still sick and is also teething, so the medicine wasn't for nothing.

My MIL is so cute. She brings her camera everywhere and is always taking pictures but she decided not to take any pictures of H and FIL assembling the kitchen "just in case L's sees the pictures one day and puts 2 and 2 together." (The kitchen is his Santa gift.)

Dude, my city in the midwest is closer to Mexico than you are.
Though I love my tex mex way more than actual mexican. I have a great enchilada casserole I make from a TJs recipe

OMG, when we visited my aunt and uncle in KCMO, they took us to a "Mexican" restaurant where the salsa tasted like marinara sauce! Me and my other TX siblings could NOT stop laughing about it later.
So...I fucked my hand up somehow. I feels like repetitive strain pain (I have had it before but in my thumb). It's my right hand, middle finger. I can't tell if I did it pulling pork (I AM NOT FUCKING WITH YOU) this evening, and/or if it is related to my shoulder issues caused by holding DS (When DH was home with DD, he ended up with an injured rotator cuff from holding DD, now I have the exact same fucking thing because of DS!!!). Anyways, if you have ever had repetitive strain pain, you know it is the weirdest pain ever...it's almost like an itch that you can't scratch. It isn't dull or sharp, just fucking uncomfortable and no matter what position you put yourself in, it absolutely doesn't go away. I took an advil, so we will see.
DD is getting sick I think. She was a mess this evening - I have literally never seen her like this. She refused to eat dinner and spent 30 minutes crying in my arms. So we took a bath and then she wanted to eat after her bath. But then when it was bed time she was hitting herself and the bed and then I had to lay on her floor (on a mattress) for 45 minutes until she fell asleep because she screamed if I wasn't there. She had Motrin before bed (just like almost every other night, lol) but she felt a bit clammy when I left her asleep.

I'm full of randoms tonight. Remember the house we lived in that was for sale and caused me so much grief? They rented it out to new tenants when we left. I checked today and it is still for sale. It's been on the market since summer 2014. They dropped the price by a hundred grand and still nothing. It was weird to see all the new photos with the stuff of the new tenants. I feel so badly for them (the tenants) as living there was just miserable!

I had my anatomy scan today. All good but I was the first patient on the first opening day of a new hospital. What a shitshow!
The ultrasound tech had never used that make of machine before so she had to have a tech support person talking her through everything. The parking lot wouldn't take payments but the gate was down so no way to get out. The receptionist's computer wasn't hooked up and she didn't know how to use anything. And no one knew where the restrooms were.
I started Christmas shopping for H tonight. Pregnancy laziness = I think he's just getting stuff I can buy on Canadian Amazon. Lol. Sorry, H.
I got h everything from Amazon. Always do though! At least their shopping is relatively fast. Walmart.ca is another option- I bought h a ninja blender from there.

DD's daycare sheet usually lists something she enjoyed but today it said "we practiced gentle touches today." That's code for "your kid keeps hitting everyone", right?

Might be getting some boxers from Gap. But $50 minimum ugggh lol.
Boxers and socks are the only things that need brick and mortar shopping on my list. Winners baby!
DH doesn't like the cultured marble that's standard in the bathrooms. I agreed to upgrade the half bath and master. He was still whining today and the kitchen guy is like it would be $650 to upgrade the hall bath. No way! E will be spilling hair and makeup and god knows what else. She can have the cheap stuff!
