I'm trying to figure out what's going on with this pregnancy. Assuming that's what it still is. I got a positive pregnancy test December 8. Another the next day. I had felt a little nauseated after eating and had very tender breasts for about a week prior to the positive. All consistent with my prior pregnancy symptoms. I have an almost 2 years old boy.
Skip forward to today and I started spitting this morning after sex. It's bright red and has been steady all day. Not a lot at any given time, but enough to get me concerned and start googling. It seems like more blood than I would have with implantation bleeding and maybe a little late? I'm leaning toward thinking this might be a chemical pregnancy and not going to stick. I've had very little cramping.
Thoughts? I've lurked for a while, but sorry to make this TMI my first actual post. Just no one else I can really talk to in real life.
Sex can cause spotting. I would recommend calling your OB or midwife and asking what you should do. They probably won't tell you to do anything unless you're filling up a pad an hour, but maybe they can get you in for an u/s if you're worried.
I'm sorry you're going through this. First tri can be really stressful.
Thanks. Definitely on my list for tomorrow morning. I thought about calling today but talked myself out of it. It seems to get better and then worse again. Still not bleedimg much total. It's more the frequency that has me worried. And the fact I didn't have this last time even though I know they're all different!
With one of my pregnancies, I ended up with a friable cervix - the hormones made my cervix very sensitive and prone to bleeding, especially after intercourse.
Hopefully it's nothing. Any bleeding during pregnancy is scary.
