My doc has a contract (or a deal) with panorama. She said I'll get a huge bill, and then to call them and say they told me it would be $175. She said they'll adjust my bill immediately.

Panorama was covered by insurance 100% for me, but I am not AMA. It's going to depend on your insurance but I would assume being AMA means it is likelier to be covered at least somewhat.
I had the genetic testing but it didn't include sex. I wasn't AMA and it was maybe nothing? I remember the specialist who did the NT scan was $100 but the blood test was free or $30 or something otherwise inconsequential.
I had the Verifi test. Insurance didn't cover it. I think they charged the insurance like $1200. They billed me like $150 but told me that the most I had to pay was like $70. My h paid the $150 because I forgot to tell him. I called them and they sent me a refund for the difference. We did find out the sex because I just couldn't wait.

I was AMA for both kids (38 for my first and 40 for my second).
I had MarterntiT21 the first time and I think Panorama this time. Both were covered by insurance and we found out the sex both times, too. (Both boys).
Mine was panorama. I will be AMA when I deliver. I am supposed to pay 20% of my labs. The total for it was $3500. They didnt bill me my portion. I read somewhere that if you call panormama they will discount the cost and only make you pay $150 or something but I didnt have to test it. I did sweat for a while though when I found out how much they billed.
I found out the sex a little late. I think around 15 weeks. It was a little weird finding out by phone if I am being truthful.
Also at my 20 week ultrasound they found a cyst that could be suggestive of Trisony 18. There were no other markers and because I had the panorama and the other testing didnt show anything they ruled it out. At that moment I was so glad I did the test.
I did panorama too and paid $20. I did not find out the baby's sex because I was stubbornly team green. Also, since we got some not happy news with the results (that's when we found out there was a 99 +% chance he had down syndrome) it would have been weird to then hear "and its a boy!" (obviously that's just relevant to our situation)
I am AMA and had the M21 done, around 12 weeks. It took one week to get the results. They charged my insurance which paid a huge amount and then they tried to bill me for another like $1200 or something. I called them and I ended up paying $150 or $250 (I can't remember).
We did find out the sex, which I think the lady was like "oh" because she told me over the phone, I was like "cool" and then I asked about the results etc. again. I guess I wasn't as emotive as she would have liked?
I was 35 and got the Materniti 21 test. It was "covered" by insurance but my copay was a hair over $600. After reading about all the people here who didn't have to pay that much out of pocket, I called and asked if there was a lower price. They said no. I also called to verify everything with my insurance company and the insurance folks confirmed I owed $600. I called the lab a second time and got a different person. This person said if I paid over the phone, my bill would be reduced $180. So I ended up paying around $420 out of pocket. Not as good as the $200 everyone else seems to pay, but better than $600.
I just had the Verify test, but haven't gotten a bill yet. I called my insurance before hand and they said the most it would be is a co-pay. I'm waiting to see how it all actually plays out.
I was barely AMA at 36. I wasn't offered any extra testing.
I was reading that it's if you're 35 by the time you deliver. I was also wondering if people had to ask or if it was just offered. Hmm. I will see with my first appointment.
I got pregnant at just a couple of months shy of 36. When I asked my OB about being AMA, he said that while I technically met the definition, they wouldn't treat me any differently.

My doctor presented it as an option for everyone and gave you the codes so you can call your insurance and determine what the rate is for you based on your specific circumstances.
I had the Harmony when I was pregnant the second time around. Found out the sex at 11 weeks! I was 34 when I got pregnant but 35 when I delivered. And to be technical the eggs were retrieved when I was 32 but that didn't come up. Insurance paid.
