my kid slept at her grandparents' last night, and woke up just as many times as she does at home. I feel vindicated because I feel like everyone thinks I'm exaggerating about how much she wakes up.
Me? I woke up once when I needed to change position (which is NOT easy at 28 weeks pregnant). I am sitting on my couch drinking coffee, eating breakfast, an watching the Today show. I am kid-free til 11ish and I plan on taking FULL advantage.

DD went to bed an hour early since she didnt get an afternoon nap and I thought we'd be doomed to be up early. Nope! Same time a usual. It's gonna be a good day!
I really need to up my weekend morning parenting game, but an early morning movie while we eat cereal is just so easy. Watching The Little Mermaid again and then I'll figure out something to do with our day. By that time SS will be dropped off and will play with C, hopefully!
I couldn't sleep last night but only a little bit of it was bc Of DD. Today is my BFF's surprise engagement party. I'm so excited to meet the guy and congratulate her!!!
We went to TRU yesterday and MIL paid for a bunch of toys to keep DD occupied while we are gone.
The baby fell asleep at 10:30 (3.5 hours later than usual) and then tried to wake up for the day at 5:30. We tried rubbing his back and telling him it was bedtime still, but no dice. So I got up to make a bottle, came back to get him, and he was asleep!! H and I are both sick, so our happiness was on par with winning the lottery.
I would give anything for a baby fairy to entertain/supervise all day while we sleep. My parenting approach for today is benign neglect.
The kids and I will just find stuff to do around the house. They are playing right now and I need to fold laundry today.
I sold our exersaucer and some clothes to OUAC yesterday and got $40 for it. Not bad! There was a large diaper box of clothes they passed on. Their buying strategy baffles me sometimes.

I'm in hot water today. I went to a bachelorette party, we decided to keep the party going after our activity ended at 10. I texted DH about it, but then plans changed again and I didn't update him. The tagged post on Facebook pissed him off and I walked in at 2 am to a fight.
I know I should have updated him on the plans, but his main point of contention is that I'm purposefully lying and being deceitful. Which I wasn't and hello - allowed myself to be location tagged on Facebook.
he took the kids this morning to let me sleep, but there's a heavy storm cloud hanging over our house.
My kids are trying to guilt me into taking tomorrow off because they don't want to go to daycare. Its the only day they have to go over the xmas school break. The sad thing is that they are kind of winning the battle.
I am exhausted today so DH took DD to church and I am going back to bed. I feel bad for skipping but I am just so tired and I have to work overnight tonight.
We went to our first family Christmas celebration yesterday and it went well. Of course DD refused to smile in any pictures or even stand still so I could get a good picture of her dress. Stinker.
Also, I am feeling like a bad parent that DD isn't potty trained yet. She will be 3 in two months and I have several friends and coworkers with kids in the 6ish month younger than her range and every last one of them is potty trained.
We haven't really tried too hard because I've been exhausted this pregnancy and I didn't want to have to deal with a newly potty trained kid when traveling over Chirstmas but I feel guilty. I really need to start working on it when we get back from Christmas travels.

We stayed way too late at a family birthday last night and then our 2 hour drive turned to three when DS had to eat twice and DD needed a diaper so my kids are overtired messes and my H is at the Patriots game with my whole family and I had to skip because newborn and lack of pumping area at stadium.
DD2 just went down for a nap. DH and DD1 slept at my BIL's house last night, and they will be home in an hour or so. Soaking up the silence and watching Six Feet Under while I make my Christmas grocery list.

The baby slept 10:30-5:30 then went back down and is still sleeping at almost 9. I love her. She's 4 months next week so I'm preparing for it to fall apart but enjoying while it lasts.
Annual Christmas dinner and secret Santa with my friends tonight, yay!

I am feeling very overwhelmed with everything I need to get done for Xmas. I think I will be using instacart for groceries because I can't figure out when I will get to the store. awkwardpenguin how far out can you schedule delivery?

It's so bizarre. I had a bunch of NWT boys stuff given as gifts that DS was too big for (and no gift receipt so we couldn't return them) and OUAC refused everything. Yet, I always see stained, faded, pilling clothes on their racks. I don't understand why they will buy stuff that's completely trashed and pass on decent things.

We're at FIL's house. C is currently screaming in rage in her crib - she is exhausted and needs to go back to sleep. I just forbade my FIL from going into the room. He took it pretty well, lol.

We've been pretty much house bound for a week and I thought today might be the day that we make a break for it. He's been fever free since Friday and seems to be on the mend but he had a complete meltdown when I tried to get him ready to go out. I even tried bribing him with a donut but no dice. He exclaimed, "no donut! seep!" and then fell asleep in my arms for 20 minutes (at 8:45 in the morning). Poor guy is stil not himself. Maybe we'll try again in the afternoon.
DD loves to sit on the potty and I always let her do it but she has never actually gone potty while on it. I feel like this means she's "ready" since she's showing interest but I don't know. I am too lazy for this. Ideally she will be potty trained before baby #2 gets here.
My parents are here. We are heading to the Ravens game today and of course it's cold today but will be 72 degrees Christmas Eve.
We slept until 9 today. It was fabulous. I went out with some girlfriends last night so I didn't get to bed until 1 am. Nothing crazy, just out for food and drinks. Good time!

I'm trying to gauge how sick my H really is this morning so I can decide what our best plan for today is.
Isaac is not running a fever at all, but Omg the pooping. Would you think bug or teething? Or something else? He really does seem to be acting fine, if not a touch clingy.
We have a play date with some new friends who live on our street at 10:30am, then hopefully DD will take a massive nap this afternoon. She didn't nap on Friday or Saturday so she is dragggging and super cranky.
