Ugh, just bought some stuff on Amazon that said it would arrive by Christmas on the purchase page, now the order page says 12/30. My fault for slacking, but why do I pay for Prime then?
This is my last day in the office this year. My goal is to do a giant purge of stuff from our house next week. It feels like spring outside so may as well get cracking on the cleaning.
I took my rings off yesterday as DH and I were standing around our kitchen island. He picked it up and was looking at it and we got talking about it. He was saying how much he still loves it and I totally agree. I always told him I wanted no part in picking out my ring and wanted it all to be a total surprise. He did that and I am still in love with what he picked nearly 9 years later.
I mentioned that I thought for our 10 year wedding anniversary I want another band that matches my wedding band to put on the other side of the engagement ring. He was like, "Yeah that would be a good idea. If they don't make that band anymore then we can just have one custom made to match." Score!!
Total Randoms: I woke up after 4.5 hours of sleep completely stressed out about what needs to get done before we leave tomorrow. Our cards still need to be addressed and mailed and we need to start packing. Fortunately I found a last minute (called and booked her yesterday and we leave Wednesday) pet sitter who is a little over the top in her enthusiasm, but I think is going to work out great (other one moved unexpectedly). I just can't escape the feeling that I'm so behind.
J had a stomach bug on Saturday night and now H has it.
J opened his Little Tykes Trampoline gift from my mom last night. Um, it's really big. We live in a 1200 ft. Townhouse with no dedicated kid space beyond J's tiny bedroom. Not sure what we will do with it. J loves it though.
I had cut out caffeine because DD seemed to spit up more when I had it.
Well, she was up partying for 3 hours last night, plus her regular wake ups. So looks like we'll be dealing with spit up. Because these last few Christmas presents won't buy and wrap themselves. Thank goodness DS is at daycare today.
DD has her one month appointment later. I can't wait to see how much she weighs!
This may not work for you but if i have tea ds2 doesnt spit up like he does when I have coffee. You need to drink more tea (47mg/c) than you would coffee (95mg/c) for the same amount of caffeine.
Our internet is down, so I'm forced to use my phone to go online and hopefully not use too much data.
I accidentally opened my brother's Christmas gift to me. It was a gift certificate to a local photography studio, which is very nice, but it's going to end up costing me a lot of money to get pictures done there, even with the gift certificate.

I took today off so I could clean my house and take care of bunch of other chores before Christmas Eve. Guess what I am doing? Working diligently on my ugly sweater for our ugly sweater day at work tomorrow. LOL. Here it is in phase 1 with the craft paint on it. Once that dries, I'm going to hot glue a bunch of tinsel and ornaments to it.
Daycare is open tomorrow and then closed the rest of winter break. I'm off starting tomorrow and the rest of winter break. I don't think I'm going to send DD. As much as I would like to I also want to decorate Christmas cookies with her and stay in my pajamas as long as possible. She's a solid napper so if I have presents I need to wrap or other stuff to get done at home I can when she naps. I feel like I'm going against all of GBCN when I keep her home on my days off. haha
My H was off yesterday, which isn't normal for him, and had planned on dropping C at daycare after bringing SS to school so he could get some stuff done around the house. Apparently he asked C if he wanted to hang out with Daddy instead and C said yes, so he kept him out of daycare. I was like, "Does not compute!" But he and C had a grand ol' time at Ikea and apparently ate things like Swedish Fish for lunch. No wonder C was so excited to stay home with daddy. Luckily for H, C took a three hour nap in the afternoon, which would of course never happen if I kept C home with me instead of sending to daycare.
H and I sort of randomly bought a couch last night. We've been looking for a reclining sofa that is less than 90" wide for a while and couldn't find anything we liked that was in our price range. I happened to see one on the front of the Slumberland ad at my parent's house this weekend and we decided to go see it. It was crazy cheap ($599), black leather, and actually super comfortable. It will work perfectly for our basement living room which we've sort of converted into a family room/office space.
We came home from the store and finally decluttered the room in preparation for the couch and I'm so excited to finally have the room be livable enough that I'll actually spend time in it! We still need to remove the wallpaper glue, paint and replace the trim, but we're SO much closer and just in time for my maternity leave!
My MIL does this with anything of DD! It drives me insane! It's made me extremely conscious of what I post about DD.
My MIL is basically a 13 year old AW when it comes to FB though.
I know, I post a lot less that I would like to just because I'm sick of him sharing stuff.
The worst was when I was pregnant with DD. My MIL texted to ask for a picture of my stomach, so I sent her one. And then she posted it to Facebook without asking me! I still haven't forgiven her, obviously.

Wow, talk about no boundaries. I hardly posted any belly pictures on FB, I would be super pissed!
DH is all worried now. His boss thinks he may have strep and now DH is worried because he has a sore throat starting this morning. We shouldn't be worried right? As long as they didn't share cups or straws or whatever.

Used my last sick day. Took ds2 to see Santa (wasn't expecting much other than a halfway decent photo ... now that he has one with Santa I never have to feel like I need to take him ever again). Ran some errands and I'll go to ds1's holiday party at school in the afternoon.
I'm watching out the window of my home office as a Mercedes dealer switches out plates on my neighbor's car and drops off a brand new Mercedes. I think it's a surprise for the wife from the husband. I thought this only happened in those stupid commercials LOL.
Every time we watch Frozen I get madder. What a story-don't be yourself, separate siblings, lying, etc. Then Elsa gets all the glory and she's in the movie barely half as much as Anna.
I know kids don't get it, but I cry everytime during do you want to build a snowman.
I agree. Elsa is pretty hateful sister if you ask me. She actually killed her sister. And what was with their parents. Maybe dad should have asked the troll how to get it under control. I think I have put to much thought into this.
I always get a little angry when kids are all about Elsa. Anna is actually the better sister.

My friend totally bought his wife a new car as a surprise, and I said the same thing to him. I thought this only happened in commercials!
Last time DS used binoculars it was to look at a bald eagle perched in a tree. My mom gave him a pair of toy ones and he says "Yay, birdnoculars!!" I can't bring myself to correct him.
Would it be weird for me to take some clothes the boys have outgrown to OUAC and use the credit to buy a baby swing they have? We won't use it for much longer so I don't want to spend a lot of $ on it.

Do it! Why would it be weird? I'm incredibly invested in you getting another swing.
