I also feel like the mall is going to be a madhouse. What do you guys think? Worth it? eta: I'm really just asking if braving the crowds is worth the photo opp.

I have a picture of my son with Santa at 10 months and it's one of my favorites. It's on my tree in a photo ornament.

I say go. My mall has a service where you can reserve a time slot on line. Or I'd go for his morning hours.

No line this morning! ETa: I also stopped at Walmart, our local outlets and TJ Maxx. While more crowded than usual, they really weren't bad.

M has seen Santa 3 times without ever getting in line at the mall. I will say, all three kind of sucked though. All fake beards. I just really hate crowds, but she's satisfied.

If you go to the mega mall over the hill, the line is over an hour.
