Sorry for the tmi...
Tater is out of surgery and H said he almost cried when he picked him up because he looks so pitiful. the next few days will be hard on us and him as he has basically no sphincter control

Poor pup
I spaced on a conference call. I thought it was at 1p, but it was at 11a, and they called me around 11:15 to ask what's up. The third person was sick, though, so it got rescheduled anyway.
I probably wouldn't have spaced if I hadn't been assembling banners for DS's birthday party

Send wine.
We're celebrating Christmas with the ILs and MI just said that she didn't think what Josh (?) Duggar did was molestation because it was only beast fondling.......
DD is turning four in less than a month and I have nothing decided for her birthday. She keeps talking about a party but I don't want to host 25-30 people again this year. But inviting only bits and pieces of friends and family would be hard.
My little hipster sister and her boyfriend have been staying with us last few days and man, we are old lol. Staying up playing cards and drinking has kicked both mine and DH's ass. The kids have been waking up at like 5:45 every morning so we've been rotating who gets up with them. Right now DH is taking a nap so we can finish wrapping later.
It's always kind of up in the air when my sister's here and I didn't anticipate her spending so much time with us. Which is awesome! But like, we have no food because I haven't had a moment to go grocery shopping. They are with my mom now and staying there till Thursday afternoon so it's crunch time now. They're going to be here for Christmas morning so I should probably you know, have food planned.
Also, my inlaws are coming for Christmas dinner too, I think I'll make prime rib. I've always wanted an occasion to do it, I think this is it. I see a frantic Costco trip in my future tonight.
Have I mentioned that it's 62 degrees out? I freaking love El Niño. We took my sister to the happening area of town earlier and had bacon covered doughnuts, let the kids run around the city park, and then popped in and out of all the beautiful boutiques. I spent a small fortune on hand poured soy candles lol. It was so much fun and fantastic to do with out coats and enjoying the sunshine.

I am dragging ass this afternoon! We bought C the ikea daybed (not the hemnes, the one with the shorter walls) and after 2 weeks he fell out of bed last night. It was only 11:15, so for several hours I endured head butting and/or getting kicked in the face before I tossed a body pillow on my side and retreated to his side! How long until he figures this shit out? He fell out of his toddler bed once, but it had 1/2 walls. I can't find pool noodles this time of year and a twin bed is not conducive to putting a body pillow under the sheet (he has no bed left).
H and I both have sore throats. Both kids are complaining of the same. DS was puking off and on and now has a cold.
I'd be more worried but we have nowhere to be for Christmas and it's only my parents coming...so eh...maybe they'll be more chill for the holiday.
I dumped two totes of baby boy clothes and a trashbag full of outwear off at a neighbor's who just had a baby. I was thrilled. Yay for stuff gone. She was so excited and kept asking if I wanted the refusals back/returned when done. No. No. No. I'm 50/50 on more kids and it'll be a bit out anyways. I will take myself to the Carter's (like I always do handmedowns or not) and stockup on $4.99 sleepers then. Apparently she got a tote of handmedowns from somewhere else and it was all really ugly unusable dirty crap. Who does that? BabyGap and clearance Gymboree is about as fancy as I get but at least it's all been washed and clean and I took out anything permanently stained.

One of my friends gives us great hand me downs, but about half of the stuff she gives us is unusable because it is worn out or stained. But the rest is great!
I'm trying to not care that I'm still 14 pounds up from pre pregmancy (and haven't lost in three weeks) but boo. Still I'm so hungry nursing and ultimately I choose nursing + being chunky over not nursing. But I hate adulting!
I had five glasses of wine the other night and didn't wake up hung over. It's like the crowning achievement of my week.
that is truly a feat! I'm impressed! There is no way in hell I'll pump and dump unless 100% necessary but I'm hoping for 2-3 glasses of wine NYE. DD2 normally gives a 5-6 hour stretch from 9-10 to 2-3 so maybe I can manage it.
I think you're probably fine, but I also just confessed to drinking more in one night than most MMMoms do in a year. If you pace it that's only 1 glass every 2ish hours.
Today was DDs repeat hip ultrasound and she freaked the fuck out during it. Screamed and cried:( I finally stopped them and fed her and rocked her and chilled her out then she flipped again. It sucked. One hip is back to normal but one is still abnormal but "not too bad" according to the radiologist. We are going to hear from the pedi tomorrow with what next steps we need, hopefully just repeat the US again?
Fuck man, my MIL. She called my H just now and asked if he could go upstairs and get one of DS's gifts and give it to him. Right now. What? No. H told her we aren't doing that. She got pissed and hung up.
We are all flying home to see MIL after Xmas because she's just not doing well. I managed to save $1000 by getting a military fare on southwest. We have to fly out at 5:45 am though. Probably a bad decision but......$1000 saved!
DD is having a terrible afternoon and I want to cry. She was great this morning/early afternoon.
We went to the mall and she was great, I nursed before we left and she was very happy. She napped for about 30-40 minutes in the stroller, usually she would sleep 1-2 hours in the morning though so I figured she would make up for it this afternoon. She was too distracted to nurse at the mall so all she ate was some bites of banana when we were out at lunch, but was still acting pretty happy. Nursed her when we got home though, so it had been almost 5 hours at that point. Fell asleep after nursing but when I put her down she woke back up. Put her in the swing and she wouldn't go down and I took her out after 20 minutes - played some and then tried to get her to nurse and sleep in bed with me. Again fell asleep kind of while nursing and maybe got 20 minutes. Then woke up, very crabby. Started screaming and crying for about 10-12 minutes straight, didn't want to nurse, or play. DH is out for a couple hours. I finally got her calmed down after walking around the house for 20 minutes and I am trying another nap even though it's after 5. She's crying in the swing now. Omg.

I'm home drinking wine while DW picks up DD.
We got DD a Jumperoo off Craigslist and I think the parents are more excited than DD because she loves it so much and it's so cute to see her so excited. I'm going to make a video of her bouncing when she gets home.
DD fell asleep after crying for 18 min, but I peeked in the doorway and the swing is not swinging but is turned on, and the sound works. FML the swing is broken.

Ugh that sucks. It's like at this point, is it worth buying a new one? Until what age/size can you really use them? (
