I waited until the last minute to try for a Santa picture. I wanted to go this afternoon while most of the family is at church. We would have had time and no one would miss seeing DS. H said we should go right then, because the earlier the better. Except it's fucking noon. The Santa is on break. And H's friend is on his way over, so didn't actually have any time to wait if there was a line, which there was. Ugh. I'm so fucking annoyed and should have stuck to what I wanted to do.
Can't you still go this afternoon? Just you and the kiddo?
We can and might. DS doesn't like being in the car though, so I'm debating whether it's worth making him do that again. Traffic is stupid today. The mall really wasn't that busy though and I don't think the wait for Santa will be that long if he's actually there.

I work for an insurance company and we are here until 4pm. That's not what's irritating me though. What's irritating me is how rude the people calling from the provider offices are being, like its our fault they had to work today. You called us, not the other way around!
My mother starting 2 ridiculous arguments last night. Then today wants me to come over at 430 [2hours before everyone else] to 'help her out'. We aren't getting along and she's lucky I'm even coming at all today & tomorrow! I'd be happy sitting at my house alone with no gifts than nearly in tears thinking about what ELSE she could do tonight that will just make me say fuck this I'm done! Whew I'm worked up thinking about it.

I feel like crap. I think I have a stomach bug. My dad and brother are coming over for dinner and I just can't do life right now. I think I need a nap.
H decided to pick up another shift at work tonight (it's fine, we don't celebrate Christmas, although I was not planning on single parenting allllllll day today). DS and I are going to go to a friend Christmas Eve thing now, last minute. But I have no clue what to bring. Something store bought, since DS is napping and I don't think I'll have time to go to the store AND cook in time.
I usually bring wine to holiday parties.
ETA: I don't really like cooking, and wine is easy. Even if they don't have it with dinner, they can enjoy it another time/regift it.
