kategm, we were allowed to open our stocking while waiting for the others to wake up. We were usually up early though because my mom's a nurse and she usually had to be at work for 7:00. Normally everyone was up by 5:30 or so. When we were older kids/teenagers we'd wait for my mom to get home to open. I'm sure there were a few tough years for my brother in there as he is 6 years older than me. Six and seven year old me would still want to wake up early but I doubt he shared my excitement at 12 or 13!
DS woke at 6:30 and had more fun with presents than I thought he would at this age! He even squealed in delight at his PJs! He lost interest in unwrapping after the first few, but had fun sitting in our laps and seeing what the gift turned out to be.
His daycare provider gave us a scrapbook of his time at daycare this year, and I cried (happy tears). My only sadness about his daycare was they don't send any pictures, but it turns out we got some after all! She did this for all eight kids. I can't even get one done! She also crocheted him an aviator's hat to go with his bomber jacket and got him a book where his picture is the face of all kinds of dinosaurs. I love her so much.
DS fussed from 10:45 to 3:00 am. I am EXHAUSTED. He wasn't too into opening presents - just wanted to play and eat.
My H is already setting up his PS4. I'm going to regret this.
MIL has been calling every phone number continuously for the past 30 minutes. I threatened my H if he didn't send her to voicemail. It's nuclear family time this morning. The teddy bear she was so hot to give DS has a date of 2006 printed on its sweater and dead batteries. I don't even know what to say.
Merry Christmas! DS celebrated by being awake from 1-4 last night. After he finally fell asleep, he'd wake up after every 1-2 sleep cycles and fuss for 5-10 minutes before falling back asleep. Yawn.
We're going to facetime with my family later, and then head over to the ILs for dinner.
Morning! Merry Christmas! Thanks to whoever posted the green toys ferry boat deal - definitely the highlight of our morning.
We got that too! I could tell DS liked it, but it's overshadowed by the new trains. I'm sure he'll love it during his next bath. I posted the Amazon deal where you buy 1 Green Toy and get the plane for free.

Merry Christmas to everyone who's celebrating! I wasn't sure whether or not B would be excited about things, but there were actual squeals of delight at some of his toys, so that was fun. Last night, he went to TOWN on some tissue paper, though - definitely the biggest hit of the holiday, ha.
Merry Christmas! We woke up at my parents' house around 7:45 so that was nice. Ethan had a bottle at 6 but went back to sleep after. I need to survive extended family shenanigans before we fly out to Aruba for two weeks!
DH got me a weird love puzzle thing he painted. Very thoughtful but weird. Plus a year of Kindle Unlimited, yay!
Merry Christmas! J didn't go to sleep until almost 11 last night and got up at 9:30. He usually get a lot more sleep than that, so he's moping around. He does like his trampoline and he's played with the kitchen a bit. I'm the only one home because MH went to take a shower(since he ripped ours out last week) and my mom hasn't come over yet. Thankfully J isn't bothering the presents too much.
I made a pumpkin pie and used sweetened condensed milk instead of evaporated milk. Oops. Hope it tastes ok...

pippa . Liking because that is the story of my life. Another sign they must have been separated at birth :-)
M was up until 2am throwing up but seems to be fine now. Of course I was up until 3 worrying about him. I am chalking up to maybe all the pool water he drank yestrday. He slept to about 10 and has been having a blast with all his toys so hopefully all is good. Got an amazing run in on the beach. There is some to say about warm weather in winter !!!!
Christmas FWP: it's too warm for DS to wear his Christmas shirt and sweater. Even just the long sleeve shirt will be too warm for him. My ILs house is always warm from cooking and packed full of people. So he's just going to wear a red polo shirt. Womp womp.
Merry Christmas. Junior woke up at 3 AM and barely went back to sleep, he dug into his stockings at one point in the middle of the night. Luckily he only took 1 item out. He was thrilled to see a picture of all his presents waiting for him at home, he commented that there were quite a lot of presents - hopefully he likes them all. He was happy with his stocking stuffers so that is a good sign.
DD is the first grandchild and is spoiled rotten. It looks like Elmo threw up in our living room, but I don't even care because I love how much she's loved.
Merry Christmas MMM! Lazy Christmas mom checking in here. Enjoying my last lazy Christmas before DD wises up to what Santa and presents are really about which I think will happen next year when she is 3. Then I will have no choice but to start buying presents on time and wrapping them and creating traditions and stuff. Until then, we are heading to my husband's cousin's house today and I'm going to have my final Christmas feast meal and then have to start the wedding diet tomorrow. Not my wedding, but my 2 friends and we all need to lose weight.
I'm a little sad that I put all the effort into DS' birthday/Christmas and no one seems to even care. I did all of the wrapping, all of the buying, all of the organizing and DS enjoyed Christmas, but very little appreciation from DH. I love Christmas, but this year has been hard.
So this year I tried a new cinnamon roll recipe, the Alton Brown overnight recipe. OMFG they came out so amazing! The recipe I'd been making previously was more straightforward and quicker, but the rolls were fairly mediocre.
We opened presents, went for a walk due to it being so warm and are now watching National Lampoons Christmas Vacation! We'll have dinner at around 5:30.
My kid still has presents to open. She just kind of fizzled out. She wants to play with everything. Which is adorable. My poor in laws wanted to Skype while she opened the presents. They got her probably 10-15 things. Eventually my mil just said maybe mommy can help you open all the rest. And she was super chatty and talkative in between each one.
We haven't stopped moving since my first post!! Between mass, visiting at the ILs, preparing veg for dinner, dinner in my brother's house, visiting in my parents house and then home and kids in bed it has been a busy day!!
Dd2 loved her dolls house and dd1 loved her periscope, which was only an after-thought really!!
ETA now I've got my feet up enjoying a beer now that the girls are in bed.
