First Farmers Market

I'm so excited to get some asparagus. There is also a new meat guy here, so now I can get good beef again. Anyone else gone to a Farmers Market yet?

Not yet, but I really want to soon. Everytime I think about going it's usually Sunday and the Amish around here don't have their stands open. I love the local produce!

I wish ours was open on the weekend--they're Tuesday/Thursday from 10am-noon. I guess only those who work right near there or SAHMs can go!

I've been to the Amish produce auction already, but our Farmer's Market doesn't start until the end of the month.. I've got it on my calendar!

Ours just opened 2 weeks ago and I am all over it!!! I love that I can walk there also.

We have ours on our courthouse square and I work on the square so it is super convenient.

The one nearest us opens this weekend. I am looking forward to picking up some corn, asparagus, and berries. I have missed grilled asparagus!

I went to my first one 2 weeks ago. I bough fresh green beans, peaches, onions. It was actually pretty fun!

I'll definitely be going again.

Ours opens Memorial Day Week. So excited! Love veggies!

Hell yeah! The River Market in downtown KC is amazing. D and I go every year to stock up at the spice market ($1 per scoop, and scoop fills half a sandwich bag), but this year I've been getting my veggies there, too. Last time I had a grocery bag full, and the vendor just said, "hmm, let's say $3". SCORE!

I've never been to a farmers market. My dad gives me veggies from his garden a lot and I do not trust the guys in our area

A lot of the farmers in our area are shady and I just don't trust them. A lot also only grow grain and alfalfa (hay). Not many grow vegetables. We do have a lot of pecans in our area.

I love Farmers Markets but ours is very small and no one has organic produce so I don't go there often.

I told my H if/when we move again that's a top priority because local organic produce is important to me, haha.
