My h now wants to do our gifts the day after Christmas lol. He took me shopping yesterday for my gifts and I got 8 shirts from old navy for $22, a bunch of lotion and body spray from BB&W for $16 and a $200 set of pots from BB&B for $112. He gave me a $200 budget so I was way under lol. He was try to get me to buy more but that's all I need right now. He says that's going to be our new tradition. Shop for Christmas gifts together Dec. 26th since there are better sales.
@emtmissy- I like that idea. DH and I went shopping yesterday. DH spent all his money he got as gifts and I spend only $10. (I got $125) lol. I just didn't know what I wanted.
I have no plans today, just sitting around...as usual lol. It's been rainy for a few days and my dog is going a little stir-crazy in here. I was concerned about my sister in Texas due to all the tornadoes, but she is doing fine, so I'm thankful for that.
@emtmissy I like this tradition! Boxing Day deals are the best!!!
We are in the car to Chicago from Canada today. We should arrive early evening to celebrate Christmas with H's mom and papa! I'm really looking forward to being HOME tomorrow. I miss my perfect sleeping conditions lol!
The IL's are on another shopping trip. That's fine as it gives me time to do some things. I will write some thank you notes and organize some pictures today.
We went shopping again today to see if I could find anything I wanted with my money. We went to a local bra place and for the first time ever I was fitted with the proper size. They also had a huge sale on so I bought 3 bras for $35. Yay!
We're also on the road home today. Add me to the group looking forward to some quiet and my own bed!
awick14 I can't fathom getting nice bras that cheap. That's an incredible deal!
@emtmissy day after christmas shopping actually sounds like a super fun tradition to start I thought he'd bought you something heavy though that you had to lift for him. Did that not pan out?
amaranth he did but it was one gift and he wanted to buy a few more gifts. I told him the Dutch oven was enough but it wasn't enough for him. He wanted to buy a few more gifts for me.
katespade- yes DH was laughing at me because of how comfortable I am now.(I wore one of them out of the store, lol)
amaranth- I didn't plan on buying anything but when I saw the sale I made DH park and come in with me.
There isn't anything wrong with a lot of my bras. If I lost weight they would fit perfectly. But I've been saying when I loose weight I'll buy new bras for over a year. (I mainly wear sports bras and those fit me fine, just no normal bras fit)

The kids had a killer Christmas. Xmas eve was a little heart breaking, mom and dad had to leave for a bit to drop my niece back off at the baby sitter's house. My poor mother was a wee bit emotional about it. We hosted for the first time ever, I must say it all went pretty smoothly. I had to pick my jaw up off the floor when my Grandma brought a bottle of bourbon in with her. The woman is 76 years old and I have NEVER seen her with anything heavier than a glass of wine or a margarita. lol what ever grandma no judgement from me. The in laws were suppose to come over but FIL was suddenly ill. What ever I don't care. I love these folks to death but I can't ever relax when they are around, we rescheduled for Tuesday. Xmas day was a hit. There was a god damn Shopkin explosion in my house. We now have like 80 of those little things. DD #2 (my sn kid) has had her new key board for like a day and has already figured out how to play the opening piano score from Disney's Inside out. WOW holy cow that kid is smart. SIL stopped by on Xmas and we had a nice dinner. BIL stopped by for a while and we exchanged gifts for the kids. all in all it was a great day. I'm trying to clean up the Christmas carnage today, because I said fuck it yesterday. I have it mostly done My kitchen is hit though. every thing is dirty. I'll get to it after the kids go down. for now we'll order pizza for dinner and eat it off of leftover paper plates lol.
I've got Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives on the TV while H and Bowser are both snoring on the couch. This might be my favorite way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
I really want some hot chocolate, but all I have left in the pantry is a box of Swiss Miss pouches that expired in June 2015, so 6 months ago. Would you drink it?

My answer would be no, but I'm weird so I don't really count. H's answer is yes, as long as it's been stored in a dry area and still looks/smells good.

I'm leaning towards tossing it, but H says it's okay. The box was never opened! It's one of those things that somehow got shoved to the back and forgotten.

What did you decide? I'd toss since there is dairy in it, and I would assume that even powdered dairy can go bad.
