Did anyone else have the alien finding computer thing run on their computers? Remember that? The scientists were using home computers to run radio analysis? Something.

This sounds prety cool! I wonder if they will validate the citizen analysis somehow to reduce errors.

Stanford has one called folding@home where your computer plays with protein folding for medical and disease research.  I thought that seemed like a better use of my ethernet and laptop when I was in school living on campus.

That whaling museum has been doing some interesting stuff lately. It almost had to close its doors about ten years ago.

If it remember right, it was SETI. DH and I both had it going on our computers.
