I just finished The Nightingale. I really loved this one. I was surprised because I did not really like All The Light We Cannot See even though is seems everyone loved that one. I just got notice that my library copy of The Girl On The Train is available so that will be my first book of this year.

I was also underwhelmed by All the Light We Cannot See- I'm glad there are two of us, ha.
I just started Crazy Rich Asians, and I'm enjoying it so far. i have The Nightingale up next, but also have a bunch of holds at the library that are coming up any minute, so we'll see what happens. I'm hoping to get to read a bit more this year, (having a baby really screwed with my down time in 2015:)) and hopefully post a little more here as well.
I just read Into The Darkest Corner yesterday, loved it. I am not normally a thriller type reader but it was great. Also finished China Dolls last week and loved it.

I thought it was just meh. But I'm kind of tired of WWII/Holocaust themes. It seems to be a popular topic and backdrop, and I've read some great stuff over the years, but in general it's too heavy for pleasure reading. It did inspire me to read 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, which I enjoyed, so it wasn't a total waste.
I am 40% through Bird Box and so far I don't care for it. I am not understanding the hype.
QOTW: I have nothing
I finished it and it was interesting - actually frightened me since I was listening to it on audiobook, so it was easy to close my eyes and put myself there - but I definitely don't get the level of hype it received.
Rose Daughter - Robin McKinley (a retelling of Beauty and the Beast) - really enjoying it but that may be partly because I used to be obsessed with McKinley when I was young
At the Water's Edge - Sara Gruen (audiobook) - also really enjoying this one
I would love to ask JK Rowling more about her experiences with sexism in the literary world. I know she's talked about it in some interviews (why she originally published under her initials instead of JoAnne, why she chose a man's name for her later pseudonym), but I'd ask for more details and thoughts on the matter.
The question I want answered has already been skirted by the author when he was asked. Lol
Well, now you have to say who and what it was!
Ha! There's a character that appears once in Wheel of Time at the end and changes the potential future for one of the races of people. I want to know who the hell she is!
