We planted our vegetable garden! I'm so excited. This will be year 2 for us and I hope our tomatoes do as well as they did last year. I got so spoiled by fresh tomatoes that I could hardly stand to eat the out of season ones in the stores this winter.
I've been spending some time getting DD out of the house. Museum of Science, swim class, etc. Oh, and here's her in her medieval gear, swordfighting with the big boys.
My former company just won a huge account, so my freelancing may be ramping up once they figure out what they're doing DH's work is really heating up, so he's been pulling some late nights so he can relax this weekend.
...which includes putting in at least one of our raised bed gardens. I started some plants from seed, and it's time to get them in the ground!

Aww, Mesa, she looks so cute! And Dr.L, looks like your daughter and the boys are having a blast.
Nothing at all exciting going on here. Work is about to get crazy busy, so I'm gearing up for that. My husband is still job hunting and was laid-off officially on April 30th. He had a phone interview yesterday, but it's been pretty quiet for him otherwise. On the plus side, our apartment has never been cleaner. We also joined a gym near us, finally, and have been going three or four times a week. Though we haven't done anything more than 20-30 minutes of cardio yet, heh. But we also haven't gone to the bar there, so I figure we're ahead of the game. (Rock, I actually wondered if it's one of the places you play volleyball, since they said BSSC plays there.)
I know exactly which gym you're talking about because I find it hilarious that they have pizza and beer there \
And brag about it inside! Every time we head downstairs from the cardio room, I laugh at the sign pointing you towards the bar. I went there once, in college, on a Friday night, and it was...pretty much exactly what you'd expect. But that was 15 years ago (yikes!).

We've been busy cleaning, organizing, painting, rearranging all our furniture, and updating things around the house. My sister graduates from grad school this weekend and we're throwing a big party here at the house. (I don't recommend dismantling your deck a week before throwing a party!) I think we've finally got things almost back together and my parents got into town today so the craziness starts again in a whole new way.

Mesa, your LO is so adorable!!
I have been MIA because when the weather is nice we spend all day every day outside. After breakfast, DS finds his sneakers and brings them to me because all he wants to do is play in the yard. I'm still running and finished my first 5k this past week (I've run the distance before but this was my first official race).
