R: The house is so quiet with the big girls at daycare and me home with just the baby today! Crazy quiet. AW: I scored a free nb photo session with a local gal who is teaching a class this week. She's doing sibling photos too! I am psyched! I'm feeling a little guilty though, we always do nb photos with a friend and I asked her a while back to do dd3's photos...we would do them next week, but if these are free I'm feeling like I don't need a second set. I'm hoping she's not upset... V: Curtains that are simply window length are a no no right? Even if the color is perfect and they aren't available longer? :/ I can't decide.
Wow that's awesome about the free photos!!! Woop!!! Maybe you could just tell your friend you want to reschedule into a different kind of session?? Like maybe some summer pics or a bday session with another lo?
Here are mine:
R: I jumped out of bed at 5:40 am no problem this morning to get ready for work. I guess my body reprogrammed itself already.
Aw: ds was excited to go back to daycare today because he missed his friends. So cute and makes me feel less guilty!
V: omg between being sick and having house guests and doing the holidays at the inlaws, my time off wasn't as chill and restful as I would have liked
Hi everyone!! R: I'm doing a playroom makeover and I got a bunch of stuff needed for projects today and I'm hoping for an early bed time for the kids so I can get to work. A: my cousin texted me that she missed us and then booked a ticket to visit this weekend. V: my body is so not adjusting the way I would have hoped to this birth control and it's been over 6 months. I want to switch but I don't want to deal with trial and error again, especially if I want to TTC later on this year. But man my period on this pill is killing me

R- I'm trying to use up this plain yogurt before it goes bad and one of h's coworkers gave him another tub because he doesn't like it. Yogurt city over here. Aw- I tried homemade refried beans and they came out really good. V- it was really cold out today. I'm already sick of dragging two kids in and out of the cold to do preschool dropoff.
R: back to work tomorrow AW: I tried the KFC chicken recipe off Pinterest, it was awesome, maybe my new favourite. V: how is it fair that I am getting grey hair and acne all at the same time.

AW: I found one missing earring!!! No sign of the second, but at least I know I lost them in the house, not at the hotel. Tomorrow I'm moving furniture and rugs and I'm finding that damn earring.
AW2: In scouring the house today, I managed to clean under all the beds, behind shelves, and swept all the floors.
V: Two weeks of break, and then schools were closed today for snow and ice and they just announced a 2 hour late opening for tomorrow. I need my kid back in school. ASAP.
R: When you live with a 5 yo girl, there are lots of sparkly things hidden around your house. Makes looking for a missing diamond earring particularly challenging.

Make Irish soda bread and sub thinned yogurt for the buttermilk. So yummy.
mamaalysson I am so god you found one of the earrings!!! I can only imagine searching for an earring. Hopefully I've cleaned my house well enough that it's not still there ya know what I mean? (Totally not judging your cleaning efforts!) where was it?

R: We have been struggling with what to do about DS's day care situation. We made a decision and are moving ahead with a new place. When I picked him up from his old place, his teacher had resigned and one of his friends also left over the vacation for good. It solidified that we are making the right move. AW: DD slept through the night! I only had to get out of bed once (at 4 am) to give her back her pacifier. She is 5 months old! V: It is SO COLD. My friend and I are doing this new walking group today, but it is going to be 14 degrees. I really don't think we should do it.

So jealous. My DS2 is also 5 months old and we went from two wake-ups to I don't even count. Teething and nursing all.night.long.

Ha! Judge away. I'm actually a pretty thorough cleaner and our house is pretty small, which makes looking for a lost earring super frustrating. I swear it just appeared out of nowhere. There's a little lip of wood where our closet extends over our baseboard heat vent in our room. It was under that lip right next to the heat vent. I don't know how I didn't see it before, and I had just vacuumed. It makes me think it was maybe caught up in the rug and the vacuum hit it and sent it flying? Today I'm pulling up the rug and shaking it all out to try and find the other one.

V: They closed school again!! It's 36 and nothing appears to have refrozen overnight like predicted. I mean, glad they're being safe, but NOOOOOOOOO!!!
AW: DD has finally figured out the peeing at night thing. She has been waking up to go at night, and has had a dry pull up the last three mornings. I am so happy. (She's 5.5.) The downside is that her getting up has been waking DS and then both kids climb into bed with us.
R: I feel mildly guilty that my 22-month-old can say Paw Patrol "pah-poh" and Ryder "Wy-er". Oops. AW: I've been painting our ancient, yellowing doors and wood trim, one room at a time. The kids rooms and the bathroom are done. Whee! V: It's so snowy and icy here that cars are crashing and leaving the road all over the place, so we're stuck at home until conditions get better. DH is working from a coffee shop close to home to avoid the commute. I just barely made it up the hill to take DS to preschool, and I'm nervous about the drive to pick him up. Winter in the mountains sucks!! I also hate that no one can come visit us either. It's going to be a quiet, boring week. I predict lots of TV and hot chocolate.
