If you're at home, PIP it exactly as it is at the moment. No cleaning up first (unless there's something horrifyingly embarrassing on your coffee table - it's ok to hide the handcuffs first )
If you're not at home, just PIP the most recent photo of your living room you have available

This is from last week. disregard the red pillows. They'll be recovered soon. The lamp shade has also been switched out since. I also put in a picture of my $15 new chair that I adore!
Here's ours. Actually, this is the dining room side of the room, and it's from when we moved in. But the living room still looks like this (plus a 1960s brick fireplace)... there isn't a stick of furniture or anything in there.
Uploaded a pic from today. How sad is this? We've been in our house for 5 months and we still have no living room.
On the upside - it's pretty easy to clean the floor in there!
I am not home (yet!) either but this post is all shades of awesome! I love to see that we all do live very normally! Bunny that couch rocks my world! I have a striped couch too but it's weird 80s burgundy and hunter and beige. It's slipcovered due to said hideousness but it is comfy and has good lines. I'd kill for yours. It's right up my alley!
You would ask this today. My niece was born on July 13 and since that day I have either been at work, asleep or at my sister's house. So I haven't done anything to my house. It's starting to look like it belongs on an episode of COPS, slowly working toward belonging on an episode of "Messiest House in America." And today I am home sick.
Note the teacup, clean and dirty boxes of kleenex, laptop and blanket. Also, those baskets are full of clean laundry that needs to be folded and put away. You don't wanna know how long they've been there.
I'm just thankful you didn't ask to see the kitchen. ;D
Snack time. Like the overturned toy shopping cart? Classy.
That sofa is wild! (Good wild) Is it vintage?
Yes. It was my DH's Aunt's from the 70s. He has coveted it his whole life. I almost cried when she gave it to us. We REALLY need to stop using it so much.
Not bad, not bad at all. I need to put some dishes in the dishwasher, but it's really pretty respectable otherwise.
And yep, I'm sitting in the dark. It's HOT outside and keeping the shades down is the only way to keep the AC from running 24/7.
Also, are those green vintage lamps? I think I have a really similar one.
OMG, WE HAVE THE SAME LAMPS!! I super duper pink puffy heart those lamps. They rock my world 365 days a year. I got them at an antique store in 2009 for $65 for the pair and had to rewire them. Does yours have any markings? I've always wanted to take them to Antiques Roadshow to be a thousandaire I saved the original round plug that I clipped off the end from when I rewired as "evidence" lol.
