Haha. Thanks to you I now know what Laz meant. I was like, WTF is "it son?"
I got sucked in as well. Right when I got motivated to take the Christmas stuff done. It sure has slowed me down. I didn't even know there was more than 2 movies.
I missed the first movie but got sucked in to the other three. I never read the books (but know the basics about it) and was not prepared for how messed up Bart is.
I was watching the marathon yesterday while DH was watching football. He came into the bedroom during Petals, started watching, asked for some backstory, and was hooked. He kept saying how sick and disturbing it was, but he also kept watching.
The ghostwriter decided to write a new Foxworth based trilogy, and I'm here to tell you that it was the stupidest thing I ever read.
Book 1 centers around a very distant teenageg relative of the Foxworths finding Christopher's diary of their captivity. It reveals absolutely nothing new.
In Book 2, this chick and her boyfriend read more of the diary, while dressed up as Chris and Cathy (WTF), and do some research into the family. At the very end, in the final 3 pages, there's a major reveal that makes reading two horrible books worth it. I'm on mobile, so I can't spoiler tag, but it was a good one.
Book 3 does NOTHING with the reveal. Nothing. Instead it introduces a new character who whines the entire length of the book. It was literally one of the worst things I've ever read. There was so much potential for a final, interesting story and it just fizzled.
