What would you do if you won the powerball lottery? How would you tell your friends and family? What is the first thing you would buy for yourself? Would you quit your job?
Hide for awhile before claiming the winning ticket. Hire a lawyer and estate planner of some sort.
I wouldn't tell them. I wish my state was a state to claim anonymously.
Im so boring...pay off all our bills (house/car). Save enough for kids education plus a few other kids. Then I'd donate a crap ton of money to try to stay somewhat the same.

I would pay off our house, plan a big old disney vacation and honestly donate most of it (i might even add on to our house so we can foster ALL the kids)... I'd also just start handing out money
i already stay at home, but DH probably could i guess...and probably would

Disappear. There is no way we could win that much money and stay where we are.
I was reading all the lotto stories the other night. Winners get thousands of letters from people begging for money. Threats. Some have hired security. Probability of kidnapping and homicide go way up.
Create an LLC as an alias so I personally don't have to come out in public. Call H's best friend to manage the finances and get a lawyer.
Long term I'd donate to the school where I work and fix the hvac system so students don't sit under something that drips on them and clangs like a murder weapon.
Start a non-profit aimed at using literacy to erase poverty.
I would absolutely travel. Travel somewhere, come home to take a break, travel again, repeat for as long as I felt like it, which would probably be for the rest of my life.
I would call my parents screaming incoherently; something like, "iwoniwonomigodicantbelieveitiwon!!!
The first thought that comes to mind that I would buy for myself (besides paying for the house we're building) is one of those all-in-one coffee grinder-coffeemaker-espresso machines. One we considered for awhile but never got cost about $2000, so I would probably get that.
I'm not working, but I would absolutely not go back to work, and I would assume DH would quit his job because he'd want to travel too.
I would hire a night nanny to do deal with all the MOTN wake-ups.
With whatever is left, as I will pay that night nurse gobs of money, I would give to family, friends, donate, set up trusts for my kids and nieces and nephews.
I would build a waterfront property in the middle of nowhere with a modest sized but built in with every amenity house.
I would travel when I wished in a private jet.
I would dine at every restaurant I ever wanted to all over the world.
What would you do if you won the powerball lottery? How would you tell your friends and family? What is the first thing you would buy for yourself? Would you quit your job?
Scream? Call them up fucking screaming....haha Car - I am so sick of my car giving me attitude Hell, yes!!!

If I won, I would be in another country on a beach before anyone in my family knew. Sorry, MIL. You're not getting anything.
The first thing I'd buy is my house, my sister's house, and my BIL's house. Just pay off the mortgages. Boom. Then I'd get myself a car I don't hate. I dont eveb know what ud want but bigger, newer, and safe. I'd have a crew out putting in new hardwood floors in my bedroom immediately and tell them to just toss the furniture.
We would immediately quit our jobs. Well, we'd probably really confirm we'd won and how much but if we won anything in the hundred millions, yes. I might stay at the painting place job. I like it but I wouldn't be waking my kid at 6:00 to go nanny anymore no matter how much I like that family.
