Daycare is open. I am off and H took the day off. We will send DD to daycare and then enjoy the day with just the two of us. We'll probably do lunch and a movie and maybe a few errands.
I am off, but daycare is also closed (DH will be in Cambodia)
We made vague plans with friends to go to the Aquarium, but nothing set in stone. I should spend significant time starting to pack, but we'll see how that goes.
I had just assumed daycare was closed. But you just inspired me to call - they're open! Now I feel like kind of a shitty parent because I think the daycare staff person who answered could tell that I don't have to work but I said yes I'm bringing the kids. Mom guilt sigh.
I think we'll probably spend most of the day working on some cleaning/organizing projects.

I have no idea. I need to check with my mom. She normally watches the kids on Monday's. No school for DS1. I have the day off work, but I'm still so behind from maternity leave that going into an empty office an catching up sounds like a good idea too.
We'll probably hang out at home and maybe make a trip to the library. Though last time we did that he ran like a maniac through the aisles yelling. And pulling books off shelves. So we'll see how adventurous I feel come Monday.
I would love to go to the park, but think it'll be too cold.

Also annoying - pretty much every 3-day weekend, either someone from DH's family decides they want to come visit us, or they expect us to come up to NY for a visit.
Granted, now that I have a toddler 3-day weekends aren't awesome (because daycare is always freaking closed on the Monday), and having extended family around to help occupy him helps somewhat, but still, I hate the lack of thinking that maybe we want to use that long weekend for *gasp* ourselves. I feel bad saying that because DH's parents are in their 80s and who knows how long they'll be able to visit, but then when they do visit, and especially winter when it's cold out, all we end up doing is sitting around in the house most of the weekend anyway. /vent.

I am off but H will be working. M does have school ( technically daycare ) so I plan to send him in the morning and enjoy a glorious morning to myself which will entail a nice long workout, dropping a bunch of crap off at goodwill and run a few errands. We may go meet H for lunch after I pick him up. During nap time I plan to do all the workweek prep stuff I normally do on Sunday but don't have too because it is a 3 day weekend. Yahooooo.
I took off as I have a crazy amount of leave. DD's daycare is open, H has to work, and DS is off school. I am trying to figure out if I should take DS on a "mom/son date" and have DD in daycare. Part of me loves that idea and part of me wants to snuggle a baby if I am off.

We are all off. This is when daycare trumps nannies. I can't justify paying the nanny and just leaving the house Weather should be okay so maybe we'll do a park day.
Daycare is closed, I don't have school but H has to work. I have to go to the YMCA to get a baseline fitness test for one of my classes. Oh boy, how fun.

I'm working and it will be a long day with the IRS here. (actually now that I think about it, the IRS should not be working on MLK day. Hmm).
DH is working, DS will be at daycare. We leave the 27th for vacation but I'm still going to sneak in a day either the 22nd or 25th to do something for myself.
