Yes, it's as bad as it sounds. Sooo I got bad hemorrhoids when I pregnant with ds, it calmed down a little after he was born so I tried to manage it but never fully went away. Lately, it's been bad again and uncomfortable. Went to my ob and she said I have fissures, anyone deal with that?? She wants me to try an rx topical and desitin. Is there hope? Will it get better? Maybe I just need hair pats because I had to discuss my butt at my annual appointment but I just could t handle it anymore so much sads and embarrassment.
I haven't had those issues myself, but know someone who has, and it seems the topical stuff works fairly well; I'd give them a try. I wouldn't give it a second thought having had to discuss that with your doc; they've literally heard it all, and I'm sure they've seen much worse than the issue you're having. Sorry - hair pats to you. Give those meds a try, though.
I'm afraid I may have similar issues. I'm also too chicken to mention it at my pp appointment. Fffc?
I had other post partum issues and also cringed at having to tell my OB, but I was in so much pain I did. And wham, bam she worked her magic and days later I was totally healed. Don't suffer, tell your doc!
Just chiming in to give support and let you know you're not alone! DD came out face-up and pretty much broke my butt on the way out. I struggled with butt issues for a long time after. It can and will get better. I didn't have fissures, but I would try anything and everything to feel better! You deserve not to have literal pain in the ass! And I agree that doctors see and hear it all. Better to be embarrassed for a little bit than to suffer every day!
Totally not alone. I got a couple from delivering DD and they came back for a little bit during this pregnancy. Luckily they just went away on their own. I never brought them up to my OB because I get too embarrassed. Hope you get some relief soon!
