Enough to make you change your plans?
I have to travel next week to DC.
DH is very unhappy about this because he thinks DC is a prime target and he's concerned about my safety.
obviously terrorism is a very real threat all over the world but I don't feel unsafe about going to DC. If anything, security is probably better there than anywhere else.

I was very worried about DD being in Paris and London last summer. Its a concern but I'm not going to let it stop my life, I was worried about her but still excited she could spend 2 months there. I'm very much that we go when and where we are destined to, I have always been pretty breezy about stuff like that.
As someone who lives in the DMV, I think your husband's unease is unwarranted. However, I could see how recent events would make people think twice about travel to places they previously deemed "safe". DC is probably a location that could be the target of an attack. It has in the past obviously, but if there isn't a direct threat reported I think know you're OK to travel here.

No. I live in London which is a prime place for terrorists to come and bomb. I walk around all the time w/o even thinking about it. I go underground on the tube. I live life as I should.
Honestly, I'm more likely to die from a car hitting me while crossing the road.
No. I try to stay vigilant and aware of my surroundings, but I do that in my own neighborhood too.
I'm flying to the middle east in less than two months and I'm just suuuuper excited.
DC is a great place! I grew up there and most of my family is there; I worry more about them being killed in a car accident on the beltway than by terrorism.

I worry going anywhere now. I don't change my plans because I would never leave my house. I always look for emergency exits, escape routes, and bags not being carried by people.
If I'm concerned about anything it's being at a shopping mall in a large city. It seems the chances of some individual cray shooting up the place is greater than a group attack.

A little bit. We were in Philadelphia and saw the Dark Knight Rises the day after the shooting. The aisles were lined with police. That was disquieting.
We were also in Philadelphia for an Eagles game the weekend after Paris.
There are so many given targets, at any given time, that I don't think on it too hard.

I'm far more worried about domestic terrorists like Dylan Roof and James Holmes than I am of groups like ISIS when it comes to my personal safety. I would have no qualms about going to DC.

I have always been afraid of crowds but not because of terrorism, and fear of terrorism hasn't altered my travel habits. But I can't say I never think about it when I'm in a crowd. Terrorism would be pretty low on my list of concerns about travelling to DC.

No, not domestically.
We fly in a few months and I am more worried about flights being cancelled/delayed or having my luggage lost. Obviously those are not life-threatening concerns, but my point is that terrorism while traveling is not really on my radar at all. I would not even hesitate to go to DC.
Nope. I live in NYC and don't worry about it. I have no plans to change any of my travel.
My boyfriend commented the other day that he's more worried about being falsely arrested or killed by the police then being a target of terrorism. I agree.
